Yeah, right now, I am leaning towards Wyaward Sky and Here They Lie. Granted, I love free roam RPGs like Elder Scrolls, so Windlands looks very interesting even though there is no combat as far as I can tell.

Tethered looks so charming though, but I will probably get it after I get my $15 credit to ease the price tag pain.

Thumper gets really difficult...

But in that awesome, fair, way. Oh do i love it.

What were your impressions of The Kitchen and Playroom?

Is there a difference content wise between the "PSVR Demo Disc" and the downloadable "PSVR Demo"?

The size is different (ca. 3 GB) and the most current update for the disc is 1.03, for the download 1.01... You can install both, normally it doesn't install twice for the same game
Does it say what the 1.03 update do?

What were your impressions of The Kitchen and Playroom?

I loved Playroom platforming level. It was so relaxing to play it. It is the main reason that I want to pick up Tethered and Wayward Sky.

The Kitchen was really tense, but I made it through.

I finished Thumper demo, but it got difficult for me towards the end.

I just finished Bound, which was quite amazing i must say. Wayward Sky is up next

Enjoy! Loved both!

HI all,

I have been lurking on these forums for a while and just recently decided to join.

Which ones would you guys recommend from this list?

Welcome;) Get Wayward Sky ( cute, charming looks great ) Bound ( beautiful , emotional game even without Pro Patch ) and Windlands ( feels really awesome like Spider-Man , I could not stop laughing while flying through the air ).

All these 3 games look superclean. Well you can buy one, but in the end you gonna buy all three anyway, so just buy them now 😉

Btw... Tethered looks amazing too. Only played the tutorial but you feel like inside a diorama.

Its the most incredible thing. I crank up the volume and I am GONE. Like, in a totally different world.

I'm on level 4 now. Game would be a super solid rhythm game without VR. It ends up feeling like playing bit.trip.runner.

In VR though... its a whole different thing. One of the most amazing gaming experiences I've ever had.

EDIT - I read somewhere (I think a review, not a post here) that you could play normal mode in super stardust and it would be in 3D if you wore the headset. If this is true, I cannot find a way to make it happen. I did the update, and saw the locked "new" VR mode, but there is no way to play the original mode except in Cinematic mode. I assume the reviewer was just playing in cinematic mode and has no idea what the fuck they are talking about, but if anyone has any insight into this it would be appreciated.
Have you purchased the upgrade? If not then I believe it's locked. You need to buy the VR upgrade and then make sure you are loading up Super Stardust VR if you have it digitally if so then it will automatically play the game in 3D with head tracking for view. If you only load up the Original Super Stardust then it plays out in Cinematic mode.

After this, I know why Crash Remake HAVE TO be a PSVR Game.

Camera movement is the same.
7qIYMrT.gif

That would be pretty damn amazing and would make me go from a "yeah I will probably pick them up down the line" to "day 1 crash in vr baby!"

Robot rescue is amazing and makes me sad it isn't a full game.

Well...
I wasn't here on launch day.

See above
The 2 posts before you just praised it but not that it mattersXD

Disappointed when I tweeted I wish Harmonix would consider releasing The Easel as standalone app a Harmonix developer suggested using a longer playlist instead. What I want is my drawing session not interrupted and the ability to save the wip and come back another day.

Don't feel like paying $15 for 3 other modes I'm not interested in as well and I've been using Spotify so I don't have many mp3 with me. It's weird to me in the most praised mode in a app about music that very element turns out to be a negativity.

I gave 'The London Heist" a proper go this evening.

It was stunning. I didn't really get it when I saw the trailers but it's amazing. I'm actually in a London gangster movie. The attention to detail was amazing. Sitting in a pub smoking a cigar felt real. I could feel the smoke enter my lungs. Later on I'm in a van shooting at motor cycles and vans etc... It was like living a movie.

I really want more experiences like that.

I'm also working my way through Rush of Blood. It's a stunning game and really had me sweating not from feeling ill but from sheer work trying to shoot all those things trying to kill me. It's like being in a 80s slasher movie. It's rapidly turning out to be my favourite VR game.

I've had the most fun and excitement with PSVR then I have in literally decades of gaming. It's the real deal and it's awesome. I love it.

I keep coming back to Rush of Blood, going through the levels on Insane and trying to find collectibles (I don't know how the hell they hide this shit so good in a damn on-rail game lol, I've still not found all of them in a single level). I just really, really enjoy it, probably the biggest surprise of the year for me. I really hope there's a sequel, or DLC, along with a proper sequel to the original UD.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
So several demos on the VR demo disc don't actually have demos. Is that normal? Bound, Hustle Kings VR, SuperHyperCube, and a couple others only give the option to buy but not play.

Really want to try Super Hyper Cube and Bound especially...what's the deal?

Yeah, it was the same for me.

HyperCube demo is on the U.S. store.

Well, if you're in North America, Super Hyper Cube does have its own freestanding demo that went live today. I just downloaded it earlier in the day and tried it myself.

Man I'm trying to go in blind on games that I really want (Batman and Until Dawn) but all of these good impressions make me want to see what they're all about right now

For the Apollo 11 Experience PSVR: Apparently the developer posted a few weeks delay since they are making many changes compared to the PC version. Supposedly coming sometime in November.

Well after 2 weeks of PS VR goodness, I can safely say what my main way to game is gonna be in 2017.

I have never had so much fun in VR nor has my family, I made my dad play Pixel Gear yesterday and I think it's the first time I have seen him smile while playing a video game. I made my sister play Rush of Blood demo thinking she would get scared but my family found out that day that we secretly had a psychopathic murder in our house xD (she's really good at killing everything in game), made my gf and bro help me with all the Playroom VR mission and it was a blast.

Been enjoying my time playing VEV, it's so addictive trying to get maximum particles (Thanks M0dus!!!) and trying out Bound was so immersive.

Since everybody mentioned their current library, I'll give out mine:

- VEV
- Pixel Gear
- Bound
- PS VR Worlds
- SportsBar VR
- Ace Banana
- Playroom VR

I'll soon buy Carnival Games VR, Tethered, Rush of Blood, Headmaster and Wayward Sky.

Gotta finish my semester of college first, so I can enjoy the VR goodness in the holidays :p

I too am suddenly quite close to purchasing Pixel Gear. Primarily because I found out that the demo for Ace Banana (on the Asian PS VR demo disc) was a lot more fun when played standing. The tracking is good enough that you can move about the entire play area with ease and pull off shots. Hoping Pixel Gear is similar. I might pick it up later today.

No one is talking about the 3D platformer in the playroom bundle.

Unbelievable. I want a Mario game like that.

Speaking of that game. How do you get the little guy that is on the platform with the balloon on it? It is in that part where there are ropes that extend to the platform. I never figured that out. Also there is a platform at the beginning to the left that has coins, but you can't jump to it since the yellow boarders on the edge does not allow to jump towards it.

Finally summoned up my VR balls and gave the Driveclub demo a shot. I've been pretty good with all the games so far, some giving me momentary senses of uneasiness, vertigo, or butterflies in the stomach, but no actual nausea. No desire to go running for the toilet.

But with all the talk about certain games triggering it more than others, and Driveclub being one of them, I'd avoided it until this point. In many ways, simply the anticipation of nausea based on impressions made me apprehensive. So, while I was fully expecting to ride the vomit comet, I have to report that I made it through the demo just fine.

Went through the race alright, then took about ten laps around the time trial course. I even tried to swerve back and forth on the road a few times in a row to see if it would trigger anything and I think I'm alright. Somewhat considering a full purchase, but I'm waiting to see if that delayed nausea is waiting to creep its way in first.

Unfortunately, I have some chronic digestive problems, so sometimes I think the worst might be coming as a result of VR. That also plays into the aforementioned anxiety, but typically it just ends up being the usual gas or bloating. I'm just happy that nothing I've played so far has turned me away from using the device.

I ended up getting Here They Lie and Wayward Sky. I am going to take a break from purchasing for now and play through my PSVR backlog. I am still getting Robinson shipped by Amazon, but that one does not count. :D

I'm kind of torn on getting it because they don't support move controllers.

:D I've had my PSVR since launch day at midnight and it's still not getting old. My games so far:

Eve Valkyrie
Driveclub VR
RIGS
Until Dawn

I seriously can't wait for DOAX3 VR and Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One VR experience updates to release. PSVR might be my best gaming purchase in decades. Everything is just better in VR, makes it hard for me to go back to traditional TV gaming.

Any idea what day in a November? I'm really looking forward to this.

played the job simulator demo yesterday and after a few adjustments with the camera
it did work quite well overall. maybe gonna be my next purchase because it's a lot of fun.

Oh... I need to stop assuming games need Move controllers. Will add this to my list!

I guess it's the lack of movement controls. They really need to update the motion controllers, it's easily the most disappointing part of the whole VR launch.

Any chance of Adr1ft getting a PSVR version?

[still can't believe they put a 1 in the title of that game]

Got Windlands last night, turned off all comfort settings and played it standing up.

Felt pretty nauseous due to non-incremental turning. My eyes can't cope with smoothly looking left-right with the analogue stick, will re-enable incremental turning tonight.

I stumbled and almost fell over several times when I landed close to edges, amazing feeling but I'm worried I'm going to fall into furniture so when I play tonight I'm going to sit down.

Despite this, its a great environment to play in and I'm looking forward to getting back in to it.

The devs said it's up to the publisher, 505 Games. The title probably underperformed so it's a guess whether they'll cut their losses or invest more in the hope of making some additional money with the game.

Had my first try of Windlands last night, started to feel funny in the first few minutes but thankfully the feeling passed.

The game itself is great. Nice environments to explore and sensibly hidden collectibles. It reminds me of Grow Home but slightly less fiddly to navigate. Unlocked the first couple of challenge maps and they're right up my alley. Game overall is probably short but the swinging around is fun enough that I'll be hunting for collectibles for a while.

Does anyone breakout box seem to run a lot when the PS4 is on rest mode?
Yeah. Even when the USB is disconnected :/ I hate that it doesn't have a proper off switch.

Edit: oh wait I don't use rest mode, I was thinking of when I unplug to play non-VR games. I guess it makes sense though as the HDMI passes through it.

Awesome. Great system for normal gamers and casuals. Hope it does well this holiday.

It's been said a lot but some must have games from my experience.

Rigs- awesome experience and the matches are fast and fun. I don't buy sports games, haven't played rocket league, and hate mp games like cod but this is definitely worth the money.

Tethered-I only do a level at a time, but it's only because I get lost in the headset.(time flies) 40 50 minutes go by and I don't even realize. It's very good.

Tumble- great budget title and fun for a few levels at a time, good time passer and not too difficult to play

Until dawn- damn I've never gotten scared from a video game except when I was a kid trying to play Friday the 13th. This is legit

Playroom- it's free and awesome! Never laughed so hard playing the cat and mouse game with my fiance. It would be amazing with more people

Sports bar- nice experience being in a bar and not running out of money from the drinks at the bar, some fun games, my favorite being air hockey. Tracking issues at times but still works most of the time. Need to play more for better thoughts.

Pixel gear- tracking is great and gameplay is fun but simple. I only played one level and hated how long it took me to kill the boss, not sure if I'm doing something wrong but for 9 bucks it is worth it.

Eve gunjack- cheap and decent, but definitely see that it was a gear vr game. Doesn't feel as immersive as the other vr offerings. I feel detached and not in the world if that makes sense, unlike battlezone or rigs or until dawn.

Allumette- sold me on vr. Great animated clip.

My back log is big already and have more wants in vr than anything else. Only non vr game I will prolly get this year is ff15. Robinson soon! Hope 2017 brings more games!

It's like I'm a child again. I love it! Buy this for yourself if you want to enjoy games again like you did as a kid!

You need a second player to join you and play on the TV so they can use their vacuum power to turn the turbine and move the platform. Some coins are only accessible by a second player as well.

I think it Adrift would be a great fit in the current catalogue, PSVR needs a cool space game [EVE doesn't count because of its outrageous price point]

I fucked up on my second level in Tethered.

Watching them having despair and jumping off a cliff. They will forever call this Lemming Wednesday. :(

I hurt my hand playing Danger Ball.

I got beat by a shot and just instinctively tried to swat it away with my hand and smashed my hand into the desk that is next to where I sit when I play.

Dumb VR
I love it!
