If you want a MP game, buy Pavlov (even just) for TTT mode.

I rarely play MP anymore and this is easily my favorite MP game in recent memory. It's like Among Us with guns, it's fantastic. One of the most slept on games of all time imo.
Thanks, but I'm not into Multiplayer games.

I have glasses and scratched my first PSVR2 lenses probably while playing Pistol Whip.
Thankfully Sony replaced it, but in order to not repeat that mistake again, I went and bought protection lenses from vroptician.com
So do you use just the non prescription snap on lenses for the vr and just wear your glasses normally ?

So I already have Rez Infinite and Thumper in my library to try out on my PSVR2 when it arrives tomorrow.

Tempted on getting Kayak VR: Mirage + Soca Valley on sale for $20.99 and GT7 on sale for $29.99

I wished I would have picked up some VR games during the last sale.

GT7 is a sure buy, but you may need to stick to slower cars and bench if for a little while until you have your VR legs, or you may be fine. Either way it's a sight to behold.

Kayak is great to see for 15 minutes, but I didn't mesh with it well past that. Others like it a lot, and the DLC is supposed to be very nice they recently put out, but I'd say it's the purchase I've regretted the most. It's also a bit rough on VR newbies in some can't handle its motion.

Safer bets are probably stuff like Moss, Tetris Effect, and Synth Riders/Beat Saber, and the most visually impressive is along the lines of RE4/RE8 and the Red Matter 1 & 2 games, along with a handful of others I'm forgetting. Horizon CotM has a little VR ride you can unlock early on, and the intro is another VR ride as well, that is pretty fun for someone new to VR, felt like I was on a Disney World ride. Game has a free demo too, but I'm not sure what it includes since it came with my PSVR2.

Oh yeah, my PSVR2 is coming with Horizon CotM, however I haven't played a Horizon game yet so I may just wait til after I finsihed Zero Dawn. I would get those other games you mentioned but I just missed when they were on sale so I'll just wait until they go on sale again.

Nice, yea, I still haven't gotten to Horizon myself outside CotM, but Horizon CotM is pretty cool to throw on for 15 minutes, get the boat ride, shoot a few arrows, it's built as a intro-to-VR game, kinda like Alyx in a way. Everything in CotM is interactive, you can paint on walls etc. Works phenomenally as a early VR experience, uses HDR, eye tracking for aiming etc. So don't bench it for too long! :)

I do not recommend Kayak: boring, not much content or things to do, and the only game to still give me motion sickness.

GT7 is of course a no brainer but they released a F2P version today so you might want to try that first.

Also dont forget that if you have ps+ premium, you have access to some cool "free" games: Synapse, Walking Dead 1&2, The Last Clockwinder, Vacations Simulator, Kayak, Ghostbusters etc..

My last advice for you to enjoy your headset as much as possible is to get a full fledged game: Rez and Thumper are brilliant but you might want to have a more traditional game to fully immerse yourself, as these games are designed for short sessions.

Red Matter 2, RE4, RE8, Metro, Behemoth, Moss 1&2, Legendary Tales, Ruins Magus, Horizon, Star Wars, Maddison, Into The Radius etc etc.. there is a shit ton of amazing games like that with 10+ hours campaign that will blow you away.

With all the new people joining the thread recently, I think I am gonna make a detailed recommendation post with some less known games to help you figure out the amazing librabry easier.

Thanks, I downloaded My First Gran Turismo and will try it out in VR as well as all the other demos that are available and I will wait to get the other items when they are on sale for cheaper.

Still Waiting Office Tv GIF by The Office

for my PSVR2 to be delivered!

Need Behemoth impressions from you guys!

Pretty sure I’m going to get this after work today but the online reviews are very polarized!
Played through to the first mini boss on a bridge (about an hour) and it's a good time. It sets a great first impression anyway. Combat feels solid, climbing is good and throwing knives feels awesome.

Oh and I forgot to say that the graphics are some of the best I've seen for PSVR2 yet.

First day down, feel a bit dizzy after my first session, enjoyed the simpler games a lot, like the mini golf one, the 2 drum games.
Dont worry about motion sickness, it will disappear after a few days. I could not finish a full race on GT7 when I received my PSVR2 (and I played hundreds of hours on PSVR before) But the week after I could have 3+ hours session. Just don't brute force it.

And yep, simpler games are amazing in VR!

I just killed the first miniboss.

It's a cool game, has a lot of combat jank due to the physics aspect, I fully expected that though. Combat and AI is kinda shit compared to Legendary Tales but it's not bad. I've been having success with taking it slow and waiting for enemies to attack. The moves are telegraphed so it's just waiting for the successful parry before going in and dealing some damage. Axe to the face is an instant kill, that's nice.

Fighting multiple enemies is a balancing act, the dodge has a slight cooldown so you can't spam it, and you gotta watch your stamina bar, which I think is only linked to attacks. Wailing on enemies eats up stamina whereas waiting for the parry makes things much more efficient. The miniboss has attacks that can't be blocked and it signals by their weapon turning red. The attack tracks you so you really have to dodge at the last second and the cooldown for the dodge comes into play there. In other words, you have to play smart. I can see some people not liking that aspect, but I thought it was fun and engaging. There's also a rage mode and that has a longer cooldown but not excessively long. You can use that to kind of brute force your way during combat. I ended up doing that for the miniboss. Dodge then attack, avoid taking damage, once rage was available I just wailed on them.

Climbing isn't like Horizon or most other VR games. You aren't weightless and the game kind of guides you through it. It's hard to explain. For me, as I grab each outcrop or ledge, I wait for the game to shift, because it will, and then I grab the next. It's not overly slow and it doesn't feel bad, but when you first go to climb it's going to feel weird. Just slow down a bit.

There's a good sense of exploration. Everyone says the game is linear, and it is so far, but there have been a few points where there's an optional spot and some grappling hook platforming sections, pressure switch puzzles, and collectables to find. You can also fast travel to spots.

A lot of graphical hiccups. Nothing overly annoying but I notice something in every area. Usually flickering assets/textures. That being said though, the game looks really good. It's also not blurry and the 90fps seems locked.

The options won't let me change to standing, it's stuck on seated. I played standing all the same though and there weren't any issues. The health/stamina bar placement is questionable. It's just too front and center to me and it sticks around for too long. I mostly turned off all UI prompts, save for the grappling hook crosshair.

Definitely enjoying it.

The combat really shines when it puts you in battle playgrounds. There's all kinds of options in clip below. A bit sloppy at times but effective all the same.

The game looks on par with the screenshots too. It's a really impressive game and I bet it will look better with further patches.

The climbing does a good job of incorporating the stamina bar.

Man, the whole reason I ordered from Best Buy on Thursday because it said they would deliver the PSVR2 on Friday but it never came. Now it's saying it's been delayed and it can deliver anytime from today through next Friday.

That sucks. I'm all too familiar with Best Buy's better than Amazon ETA which ends up turning into 2 or 3 days later. It has gotten me more than I care to admit, so I try to opt for store P/U whenever possible with them if it's a new piece of hardware.

The game is very good but there's some things that I dislike. The combat feels too much like saints and sinners. Legendary tales combat is far superior. The graphics are great and the resolution is excellent. Puzzles so far are too freaking easy. The main character sounds like a blockhead and the dialogue with other characters is kind of poor. I think the grappling speed is too slow, doesn't feel satysfing like the batman game does.

Anyway, I ended up booting up Vertigo 2 as well as I bought it and never played and I'm having more fun and having more side smiles than any other vr game recently ;)

Yeah, I got on chat and spoke to an agent who said it could come anytime today through December 20th. I respectfully expressed my dissatiisfaction, asked her to cancel my order, and that I should've ordered it from Amazon as I had originally planned to do but went with Best Buy since they said it would be delivered yesterday. She said I would have to contact the driver and gave me the number. Less than 5 minutes after the chat, I received texts from Best Buy telling me my driver's name and saying it will delivered today and showing the tracking in real time.

Awesome - sometimes they do make it right, hope you love it as much as many of us here! Just be patient and know most issues will sort themselves out in time, and as long as you keep your determination to enjoy VR you will! :)

Maybe I'll rent this globular cluster thing from Amazon. I always found the headset super comfortable but there's always room for improvement right?

It really depends on people tbh. Personnally I had comfort issues with PSVR2 and globular cluster made a HUGE difference, but I also know a lot of people who think PSVR2 is the most comfy headset without any mod.

Also note that one of the key argument for GC mod is also to keep the headset perfectly steady and never lose the sweetspot: it makes a big difference in games where you need to move swiftly.

It is a bit expensive and can take a while to be delivered, but imo this is a S-Tier upgrade for PSVR2, even if you find the headset comfortable as it is.

I can't wear it without the globular cluster. Still, I can never find a completely comfort position like it feels with the quest 3 bobovr.

I think I can count the people I've read online praise the PSVR2 comfort on one hand lol, not sure about that anecdote lol. Same goes for the Quest 3, the PSVR1 however needs more than 2 hands to count, that has significantly more positive impressions.

There is often a topic regarding comfort on the subreddit, with people saying they find it great as it is. With my big head, I firmly disagree, that thing was painful compared to (the perfect) PSVR1.

On another note I just started Behemoth and for now it is exactly what I expected. It feels very polished and it looks pretty impressive! I can't wait to properly dive in tomorrow!
