Experts at Stuff magazine said the PlayStation Portable, or PSP for short, would take the UK by storm with its 'pin-sharp' graphics and ergonomic design. The PSP has yet to launch in the UK but is expected to arrive in shops next March. Sony has not given a price although estimates put it at around pounds 200.

I knew the Pocket PlayStation would make a comeback!

It pains me to see these T&A mags give reviews on games. I forget the one that gave a review to Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. Kinda cool, but the game comes out next year. People listen to this shit. Bruce Lee for Xbox is the shit! Go get it. Stuff said it is great. To this day, I shit on him for wasting 50 bucks like that

I think someone said Playboy's review on Fight Club said you should play real fighting games like Def Jam Fight for NY and Dead or Alive Ultimate...

That was the PocketStation. So are you now as dumb as the Stuff guys?

And just to rub it in, that 'pocket playstation' comment was from the Forbes headline, not Stuff, and it was to contextualise the machine, not stating what it is called (which they do later in the article, correctly, as PlayStation Portable)

Jeez.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't the "Stuff" mag dedicated to gadgets and tech, a completely different mag than the "Stuff" dedicated to T&A? I know for sure I've seen both in stores, and they seem like two different mags?

one thing that does worry me is that , if the PSP did launch at 200 GBP, then i start to wonder if sony really did region encode everything...

i mean, 200 GBP is close to 40,000 yen... surely grey imports would fly through the roof given that the base PSP cost is around 97 quid?

and given there is no difference in machines (?) then why allow yourself to get slapped with a 100% extra charge?

I just hope sony haven't decided to combat this with region coding. I want to play Wipeout Pure without having to buy a US/EU machine damnit.

Just so you know, they're talking about the UK Stuff magazine. The one that covers technology and is not really a T&A mag at all. You can visit the website here.

Heh, although none of this qualifies them as major experts. As always, stride is to be taken :D

More to the point, you have to be a complete dumb fuck to dismiss the reality that PSP will be as hot as any gadget that's released in 2005. Same way Xenon will be the hot item come Christmas time...it's simply inevitable. Doesn't take anyone's expert to figure that out.

Seriously, do some research people! Do you really think Forbes would have printed a story about Stuff magazine 'experts'? Hehe. :lol
