While I don't feel much for Sylveon I thought it's a pretty harmless design and the fanart makes it look cute.

The ribbons make it seem too busy. You don't need streamers and ribbons on a Pokemon to make people think it's cute.
I remember one depiction of Hitmonchan that very awesome albeit appeared very shortly

I now request that we be able to change the coloration of our Pokemon.
I don't get the hate for Pokemon based on inanimate objects. Every single time one appears, it's always the same song and dance.
Without the ribbons, it would just be a generic pink Eeveelution. :-/ There's nothing else to distinguish it, aside from the blue eyes I guess.
I am one of the rare people that likes Palkia. Of course one of my favorite Monsters is Mara (Shin Megami Tensei) so that's one explanation. That, the Wing-Fins and the good Typing. Shame about the color they chose for it, they should have chosen gold or pure white and grey.

Isn't Umbreon and Espeon is just black and double tailed purple eevolution respectively? I'm fine with the streamer, but the ribbon kills the natural feel that I usually found on eevolution.

Also I hadn't know that only ONE Pokemon in your team was allowed to hold a mega stone during any particular battle. Will prevent some OP'ing.
Certain-type-only battles are awesome, I wish there were more than just sky battles, but it's a good start.

I like the change. Reduces the amount of time spent switching since you can train more Pokemon at once.

Definitely! I was looking forward to the day we could pick our trainer sprite for online battling and never imagined they'd actually give us this. It's somehow my most anticipated new feature.
See, this is sort of the angle that makes me really like Sylveon. Remember when fairy type wasn't confirmed and people were still speculating as to its typing? Bug was a pretty popular answer - the eyes *are* sort of alien and weird. The ribbons are that at first glance, but I imagine them moving unnaturally and even being used in attacks. It's an angle to the fairy type I'm interested in for sure, as mythological fey creatures are often beautiful, mysterious, and strange, and Sylveon definitely has elements of the latter.
Well, I wish gym leader battles have more restriction or variations too. Certain type would too much and could get people stucked, but basic restriction like number and level restriction is a way to add that variety and challenge.

I forget most of the baby pokemon exist, except for that....thing that evolves into Pikachu because they shove it in promotional materials everywhere.

Vanilluxe get the hate because it is Ice Cream. For mea the idea of capable eating on its raw form is kinda disturbing and that's the reason why I don't like it (well, Cherrubi and Cherrim is cherry but at least they nature-made food).
Also, why does Dunsparce and Giratina in your avatar is blue-ish purple?

I think someone confused Chingling with Cherubi/Cherrim!
It was supposed to be colored like Sylveon (and like several other users) but I couldn't get it right.

What's wrong with Chingling/Chimecho? I mean, they're totally forgettable and bland, but I mean, they're not actively bad in the way Palkia or Vanilluxe are.

I was thinking that for a while, just didn't want to post this because I'm unsure of how people on this thread might take it. Specifically since I kind of want to have a darker looking sprite. Hopefully we'll get that one day.

Yeah, that must suck for dark skinned people. Luckily I am pale as fuck, also I've seen some clothes that are pretty close to stuff I wear so I am set.
Yeah being black and only having a choice of light skinned pokemon trainers is pretty annoying... Esp when that one gym leader in B/W is black... I mean what gives!
But customized clothes is a good move on GF's part. I can't wait to get my hands on the game. The wait is painful.. But I'm getting really excited though

Always intrigues me how many people want their in-game characters to share their skin tone. I'm not white either but it's not really something I've thought about. Heck, even in this game I'm not sure if I'll have my character's skin colour reflect my own. There's a good chance I won't.
Clearly it's a very highly requested thing, though. I guess I'm just weird. Am very excited about the other customization options, but skin colour? Couldn't care less!

It has to do with being able to identify yourself with the player character. If they don't look like you, it can take you out of it.
I just hope that there's color options for most of the clothing. What I've seen so far is well made but hideously mismatched color-wise with other pieces, with a few exceptions.
