Y'all probably remember because Charmander is factually a better Pokemon than Celebi.
Fire beats Grass. Learn your type chart!
Wait, so Celebi appears prior to that scene?
Ahh darn! That's actually from a deleted scene, Charmander made the final film but Celebi's scene was cut. Can't remember which one Pikachu was in but he was in one of them.
Charmander > Celebi confirmed then! That's actually from a deleted scene, Charmander made the final film but Celebi's scene was cut. Can't remember which one Pikachu was in but he was in one of them.
Waiting for dat corocoro leak to reveal nothing
People say this, but every other month they promised nothing (except September when they did deliver), and yet this month they promise news.
This is symptomatic of people overhyping themselves for everything. I remember in May everyone was hyping for a huge reveal on May 21st based on absolutely nothing.
Wait, what in May?
News is a very broad term. I'm expecting something, but I'm not expecting Z.
Fuck. That is enough to get me hyped for Z announcement. I am so desperate for a new main gameThe interesting thing, though, is that in the note last month, they used ポケットモンスター rather than ポケモン. Typically the latter is used for spin-offs, merch, movie, anime etc. (despite the latter two using the full name) which is why this raises an eyebrow since the first is typically used to describe main series stuff.
You're expecting a main series game announcement and want to 'avoid dissapointment'. Have I missed some major evidence for this?I definitely expect the announcement of Z (or whatever it's called) in the next Corocoro but whether they actually show details, screenshots, art and the like is not guaranteed. I'm just expecting minimal information to avoid disappointment.
Coro Coro hasn't had the exclusive reveal of a mainline game for the thick end of a decade by this point, and that was a time before Nintendo Directs and worldwide releases. Expecting the magazine to reveal the next game at all is not a conservative guess.
I never said I was expecting a mainline game reveal in this
so when are we getting the Pokken news today?
Dunno, but it already leaked out the other day.
EDIT: lol it just officially got released.
I wasn't referring to you.
The fact that they're referring to the new information as something from Pocket Monsters rather than Pokemon, which is the term they use when talking about the main games, is the 'evidence' you're missing. It's completely irrelevant whether or not Corocoro hasn't revealed a main game for the best part of a decade. I don't think it's possible for my eyes to roll any further back into my head when people make baseless speculation on 'patterns'. "oh, oh, it can't happen like this because this is the way it's done now!"
Where was the precedent when they had the X and Y broadcast in January 2013? It's still entirely possible we'll get a half assed announcement from Nintendo ala ORAS around the time Corocoro leaks anyway.
It's very easy to tell people off for why they're wrong and why it won't happen the way they think because of reasons one through ten, but Nintendo do what they want and how they want. See also: Gen 1 on the Virtual Console, Cloud in Smash etc etc etc.
Certainly it could happen. No one is denying that. However you say you are expecting it to happen. That implies that you are greater than 80% sure that it will happen. And there is not enough evidence for that to be true.
Perhaps I should've been clearer. When the initial announcement is made, I'm expecting the same amount of information that was given when ORAS was announced i.e. very little. Yes, there's not a lot of evidence for Coro coro to be the ones to reveal it, but those are just my personal expectations.
Hey, if you want to believe that Coro Coro are revealing Z at all, knock yourself out. I'd love it to be true, but I just don't see it.
Expecting it is daft, though. It doesn't fit into how the series is generally promoted now- no, a worldwide Pokémon Direct was not an unexpected leap from Nintendo, who had established a precedent for revealing titles that way.
time for an out of context ouc
