I did include the animation speed - that's why it says

Thunder has a really long animation (4.2 seconds) which is why it is so poor. To be honest, Jolteon absolutely got the shite end of the stick compared to the two other Eeveelutions, especially Vaporeon, which, from the set of 'mons I've examined so far, is probably actually the strongest Pokemon in the game now we know STAB is present at 1.25x. Water Gun Vaporeon wrecks fools.

I'm busy working on an excel calculator that figures out the best moveset for you, plus the best attackers against any given type and so on.

Oh, missed that. You are right. I'm fine with that since I only got a Vaporeon...with not so great attacks.

That would be great, especially for lazy people like me (I also haven't looked at the data dumps).

Are you sure about Gamestop being sponsored locations? I recognize pokestops on the list there in NY and NJ have long been Ingress portals. Looks more like Gamestop riding the coattail.
The Gamestops in my area dont have either gyms or pokestops

Just a guesstimate from eyeing the numbers, but I think that Aqua Tail is Vaporeon's best secondary. Usually the 2-bar moves are the best ones. I'd have to work it out but I'm pretty confident that's right. Then obviously Water Gun as fast move.

Got about 45 minutes of play time in before the servers died. Used a lucky egg to get about 2/3 of the way to level 17 and refilled around 60 pokeballs. There was a wheezing somewhere but the footstep glitch screwed me. I did find a nicely leveled bulbasaur and hatched a squirtle at least.

jolt is super effective against water and flying tho

is the multiplier for super effectiveness still 1.5?

Blame the heart warmings stories (〃 ̄ω ̄〃)ゞ

Yeah, I saw you posting those ;)

Have to look what I have again (not using it much) but haven't been able to login for a while now (damn servers).

This app is so poorly made. Full of bugs, crashes constantly. Servers overloaded, but I can understand how that happened. But how was it allowed to release in such a poor state? Is there no quality assurance?

the confusing part is that it has always ran like crap but yet they still release to 26 more countries and make it worse.

2:30pm here in the UK, and it's fucking gorgeous weather out. I came out on what I intended to be a super long walk for the rest of the afternoon/evening, but the servers are so bad that it crashes for me every time I try and catch anything, and it takes several attempts to log back in.

I'm super pissed, and probably going to call it quits and head back home.

This is an absolute joke; I appreciate that the reception this game has got is unprecedented, so Niantic couldn't have forseen just how much strain their servers would undergo. So I don't blame there being initial issues. But we're now a week in, and things are no better. In fact they're worse. Niantic and Nintendo are making mad bank on this; they should have had it fixed by now, or at least improved.

I don't get why they thought it was a good idea to release in 22 country's yesterday.. servers were struggling before.

Yup.I'm out enjoying the weather in a place with lots of stops for once and I can't make use of them.

Oh, had no idea we would get a new OT so soon. The craze is real, and I'm loving it. I might just go on my Pidgey hunt today!

Well I woke up this morning and checked the app.. still glitched beyond all reason. They're going to kill the hype for this game before it even breaks any records, at this rate.

Galactic Fork

A little fluff between the ears never did any harm...
Strangely the app has been running great for me today. I played for an hour and a half straight with no crashes or gps freezes. Still have to deal with the three print issue, but I hatched a bunch of eggs and got a bunch more pokeballs.

App seemed OK, so I went for a walk. Found a much closer Pokestop (10-12 mins,) so got 3x Pokeballs. Found no Pokemon on the way there, so I put my phone in my pocket for the way back. By the time I was half way across a sports field I decided to check my phone. There was a Pidgey a few steps behind me but my phone didn't alert me. Then the display went into fast forward and put my avatar in my exact location and the Pidgey disappeared. At least I got some Pokeballs though.

On a Dutch forum they speculate the most efficient way to work is: saving up your stardust until you reach level 25. (Starting from level 25 you don't easily level anymore.)

If I were to NOT compete in gym battles anytime soon, I assume in my case it is useful to save up on stardust?

Or does using stardust on Pokémon have other benefits as well, even for those gamers that do not plan on gym battling anytime soon?

I'm tired of Pinsirs and Jynxes. There are too many of them in my neighborhood.

I'll take one Pinsir, please.

You know all the gyms were at peace, until Team Valor attacked,.
Time for this poster that T.O.P posted in the first OT:

stardust is strictly used for powering your pokemon up, which if you're not trying to battle at gyms, is irrelevant at this moment

So I haven't been playing this for too long (only level 6) but I have never seen some of the things people talk about like nearby Pokemon, footprints, and rustling grass. Do they only show up after a while or what?
