I only get 2 gigs of data per month. How much data does this drain?

I heard only a few MB per hour.I only get 2 gigs of data per month. How much data does this drain?
Finally managed to start the app and catch a cuteass bulbasaur in my house. Only thing is it kinda froze after, not sure what to do I don't wanna lose my bulbasaur...
Has anyone on iOS had to re-log in if you have 2 step authentification on for your google account? I captured a bulbasaur, closed the app and when I opened it again it asked me for my credentials again.

You can have an Idea.I only get 2 gigs of data per month. How much data does this drain?
I asked because when I went to click that, it said it was still not available in my country. It did that until I uninstalled the APK version and re-downloaded, haha.
Are the servers still down? I can't seem to get past the Gyrados loading screen right now.

Looks like they just went back down. Are the servers still down? I can't seem to get past the Gyrados loading screen right now.
This game seems half-baked.
It's possible they underestimated it, but it's also possible that it wasn't possible to adequately prepare for.The servers are really taking a beating, i think niantic underestimated just how popular pokemon + augmented reality would be.
Haha, not exactly.I've never played Ingress and don't really know what it is, but if they take landmarks from that for Pokestops in this... does that mean I can start playing Ingress, and create a Pokestop near my desk at work?
Basically the answer to this will be depending on your area. If there are pokestops you can hit in the locations you'd be anyway, and have a decent distribution of pokemon in random encounters there, you can make some progress. If not, you'll be very limited as to what you can do without specifically seeking some stuff out.Is it worth it to already install this app when I currently don't have the time to use it intensively?
In other words:
- I would not currently, due to time constraints, visit locations specifically for this app.
- I would be willing to let the app run in my trouser when I'm out.
- I would be willing to spend short sessions on the app both at home and outdoors. (Just not like visiting locations while checking with the app where I have to go.)
So are there gameplay elements that allow for progress to be made in this situation?
Or is it better to hold out until I have time to also go out on 'hunts'?
---
Also, shame on the 5 km/h limit... I run at 10-11 km/h so would have loved to use this concurrently.
Wait, you can't hatch eggs if you run too fast? What the hell hahaIs it worth it to already install this app when I currently don't have the time to use it intensively?

Servers are up, drive to the closest gym, bout a 5 minute drive. Get there and servers are down. This is beginning to get frustrating.
That's stupid. They really dropped the ball on egg hatching. Nobody runs at 5km an hour, that's unbearably slow. I doubt I even walk that slow.Yeah, there's a speed limit.
I thought so too, but I actually find the gameplay really fun and rewarding so far. It's fun to have an extra motivation to go for a walk and something to do when I'm walking the dogs.
But the infrastructure is the worst right now. I understand there are always hiccups, but this is pretty extreme! But, working in IT I see how hard software launches can go, so I'm trying to be patient...
Haha, not exactly.
1. You can't just make anything into a Landmark. It has to be... something, lol. "Duane's Desk at Work" is not notable enough to submit.
2. Submitted landmarks take some time to make it into the game, they aren't automatically approved.
3. We don't know if new Ingress landmarks are being ported over to PoGo instantly, on some kind of a reset, or even at all.
I do like your line of thinking though

This was me last night. Sign up, sign in, do stuff around the house and backyard, seems fine. Drive to a nearby hospital where there's a couple things around and spend 20 minutes in the parking lot unable to sign back in. Gave up and went home.

This is the third or fourth official iOS Pokemon game.Yeah needs alittlelot more substance, but for now I am content with an official Pokémon game on iOS. Now if I could actually play the game without the servers going down.... 😒
