Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

So I just went to a gym at some skate ring, and found two other guys trying to take over it too. My first interaction with people on this game lol

It's just one guys experience. The spawns are region-based. For example, in Canada (Toronto here) there are tons of Jynx everywhere.

I see, thanks for the explanation! People should start making accurate location-weighted charts if they have the time

Do lures show up on everyone's maps?

That's amazing.

lures are an utterly fascinating inclusion. the potential for danger is so high with them. there's poke stops around here near all sorts of isolated buildings. you could use them to lure people. it's a cool addition tho, I like the not dangerous uses of them

If magnemites are considered as Very Rare, then I'm a lucky guy.

Been seeing them all day.

edit: Hell if Jynx is considered epic then I'm the luckiest guy alive, also been seeing them all day.

Has anyone figured out how stats function or are calculated? Do XS or XL Pokémon have any benefits or drawbacks? Is HP variable between different instances of the same Pokémon? Is max CP variable for different instances? Does it raise the CP ceiling for evolved Pokémon if you power up their less evolved forms?

Lol okay. I dropped the winghouse snorlax off at a gym after I took it from team yellow. My apartment is down the street and is a pokestop because of its water fountain. It had a lure on it. When I pulled in there was a teenager on his skateboard that left the lure. He told me his gym just got taken by a snorlax. I said yeah it did I wiped the floor with you. He called me a bitch and started laughing. Goodtimes

I saw my first good Pokemon - a Haunter. I tried to catch it but I went into a bad data zone while doing so, so the game froze while it was in the Pokeball and I couldn't catch it :(

Every Pokestop I went to also only gave me 3 or 4 Pokeballs.

so, Pokemon GO has an effect on real estate

This game is good motivation to run long distances.

I've only been walking with it so far but I think I'm going to try running with it later. As long as I'm holding my phone I'll feel the vibration if I run into any and I can stop at the intersections with Pokestops.

I don't have the volume on...is this guy streaming himself walking outside? That's pretty funny.

Serebii mentions it on his site where there's a "base CP" level for each Pokemon, and then it's calculated out from there based on size, weight, species and trainer level.

Max CP goes up overall depending on your level, but on a per species basis it's just based on the other values.

Also, speaking of datamining, did anyone do so yet for this game? I'd love to get larger sprites of the Pokemon/ones not on this one ;-;

Drove around, did some scouting of my area. All the gyms have pokemon that are less than 290 CP.

My 490 Hypno is gonna have some fun once I have the time to go around and dominate.

Incense doesn't have the effect I thought it would. Thought PKMN would be coming in droves. Lol. Wish there was something I could do when in one place. Like walking in place or something for steps for the eggs. There is only one stop that's pretty close to me. Others are quite a long walk away. Maybe I will go check them now that the temperature is dropping.

No! Stop the datamining! This is one game that I really don't want this to happen.

I know there's no stopping it

I ran out of Pokeballs trying to catch Pidgeot! Fucking annoyed. The Poke Stops only give me 3 Pokeballs at a time and there's only 2 neAR me but on opposite ends of they town.

Just received this email from a gay club in NYC. I frequent the club, it's massive, and this being promoted on one of their most popular days, blows my mind.

Definitely gonna be attending! It's free and a chance to win $1000 for catching a Pokémon at the venue!

Show out, GAF!

It's usually like 3-7 encounters per 30 minutes. Though with random encounters happening without the aid of incense it may really be like 3-5.

Damn. How do they even have the time to prepare for this so fast. This, the shop with the small board with stuff written on it, etc...
Wonder if something similar will happen whenever the game releases here.

Do you have to give up the Pokémon you beat the gym with or can you choose?

I recommend running for a while before turning the program on, since otherwise you'll keep stopping to catch Pokemon and won't get any exercise. :-P

But yeah, it works great if you're already doing running.

I'll just pretend it's high intensity interval training when I stop and fool with my phone every 50 feet.

I get a few just thought it would be more. I really should use it when walking about but I used it while in one place. There actually seems to be very few PKMN in general in my area for some reason. Not sure why. Maybe it's cause I have few stops near me? Idk of it affects it

So what exactly does the rustling grass do? I just walked around my block since it is cooler but i didnt find any pokemon. How am i suppose to evolve like this lol

Nintendo's got a hit on their hands. They could become the biggest gaming company by harnessing the billions of mobile phones around.
