Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

My life will be completely taken over by this poke addiction if they add;

-A reward for playing a certain amount of days
-Missions and different things to do, like a MMO.
-More pokemon

I'm kinda scared because all of this is all possible given this is on mobile cell phones...

My friends are looking really hard for one after they saw mine.

Also, damn living in a place where Incense is the only way to play.
 
I just met another Pokémon Go player.

He just took over the Gym I fought so hard for to free from Team Red. I'll get it back later lol
 
Fuck i might really have to make an adult decision and quit this game. I'm way too obsessed and I can't handle these little kids beating my gym I'll never have time for anything else again
 
I haven't been to a gym yet and there is no close one to my house. So I kinda wanna make sure I have a decent chance before I go try to find one. How does this look? Or should I wait a tad a level up some other Pokemon first

That Taurso will be able to hang and be a good second pokemon for a friendly gym. :)


Still need a few more hard-hitters though, before you can take over a gym. :(
 
quick ?

anyone else have an issue with the power save mode not working?
is it tied to gyro as well or is it just me?

I have a Blu life one X 2016 and when I turn it upside down, stays on. (yes, I made sure it was checked)

at this rate im looking into buying a battery pack off of amazon and grabbing a plus when it comes out....
 
Has anyone had a problem with pokemon not showing up when not on WiFi? I've been having no problem on my phone (HTC 1) but my wife (Mini S4) will only see a pulsing white circle where on my screen I see the pokemon. She's only been able to catch pokemon when on wifi but has been able to register steps and pokestops no problem. Thinking it's because of her phone? We're thinking about switching providers here soon anyways and this may just put us over the edge.

Game is super fun though. Went to a local park last night and saw people grouping up and walking up and down, mostly congregating around the gym though. Got a Snorlax on my way home, super weak CP wise but we got him.

You have to go out of your way and find them. This is an exploration game not a walk the same path every day game. If you want to bring Pokemon to you then use an incense.

That sucks. The mornings have been when I go out and play because I can go hours without any server issues. *Sigh*, I guess I won't be going into the city today.

I imagine you'd select the Pokestop and then hit the horizontal oval button above the circle that you spin, which is for Modules. It would probably have the Lure option there.

I'm not 100% sure though because I haven't used a Lure myself yet.

EDIT: Nevermind, it was already answered.

Here's a question, do we know if STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus, aka when a Water Pokemon uses a Water attack it does more than if a Normal Pokemon with the same stats used that same attack) is a thing in this game yet? It probably won't make a huge difference at this stage but it's good to know. I have my Pinsir with Fighting moves for both which seems like it'd be nice with the various Normal pokemon that often get tossed around but it'll be nice to know if I should gun for a better Pokemon for the job later on.

"Out of my way" is in other peoples backyards. Ugh. I guess I have to drive somewhere. Was really hoping to catch on my morning walk.

Certainly not an official one, but hopefully there will be soon. I can at least use my Ingress log-in to find potential stops and gyms with that tracker, but even that isn't perfect, since some portals aren't in GO as Pokestops or Gyms.

It seems like specific locations have a tendency have more of some Pokemon types than other similar locations. It looks like you lucked out with a Rhyhorn breeding ground.
 
Well, after playing all night long I'm addicted. I have this beast to show for it,

Went to ktown tonight in LA and so many people were running around catching Pokemon and having a good time. It was amazing!!!

Also, I took over the Los Angeles Clippers headquarters with a Pokemon that has clippers.
