Visited well over 100 Pokestops today in about 2 hours or so.
Had a spot where we had 4 Pokestops right next to each other, and had Lure popped at each. Needless to say we had about 30 people at all times chilling in the area playing and talking, as well as many more coming through. A few people walked up to me and asked what event was happening/what was every waiting for lol.

Wow, I hadn't heard that this game was live.
Spoke with neighbor across the street, he said his 16 year old son was in the Square with 100+ people. Yikes.
Went to Square with family for dinner. I swear at least 50% of the people there were playing. The Square is covered in pokestops, and I think three gyms at least.
Went ahead and downloaded, just over level 4.
I can see two gyms from my house, and a dozen plus stops. Nothing I can reach.

Hatched a growlithe at my local Taco Bell. My other two eggs gave me a sandshrew and voltorb.

Having a pokestop right outside my front window has been freaking weird these last two days.
Incense wouldn't help anyways so don't feel too bad. Incense gets a random pokemon every 5 minutes. Does not correlate to your nearby list at all.

its not out in the uk, theres a few of us in my area who got it early, but once it does come out, i expect the park that shares a wall with my garden to be cool as fuck.

Kind of a dick move putting Eevee in the 10km egg. It's going to be one of the most desirable pokemon yes, but from what I can see they are plenty common--I've caught like 4 already.
No idea. The rarest pokemon I've heard of being seen in the wild was Dratini.

Question about gym battles. If I battle someone on the same team as me, will I take over their gym if I beat them? I know it raises prestige.

Oh also I can confirm that riding your bike in the 10mph range (was going 9-11.5, but never going above 12) DOES work for hatching eggs. Will try ~14 next.
Keeping one eye on my bike computer to make sure the speed didn't go above 12 felt an awful lot like a minigame, lol.
My two 5kms when I got home were Mankey and Growlithe... pretty awesome, hadn't even seen them before.

Are you leaving the app open on your screen with your phone unlocked?
Not necessarily. You get a lot of Candy from hatching high level eggs (20+), meaning as soon as your Evee hatches from a 10km egg, you can turn around and spend that Candy on evolving it. Otherwise, you will have to catch each one until you have enough Candy to evolve.

Yes. It gets stuck. I check back on the eggs after awhile and it's on the same decimal point after even long distances. It's erratic.
So I live in Norway and had to make an US Apple ID account, and I had to do it without registering a credit card. I'm running out of Poke balls and wanted to buy some Pokemon coins, so I tried registering a credit card on my US account but all three of my cards were declined (two credit and one debit). Why?
This game is going to cause so many car accidents. I guess on the upside all of them will be at a speed of 20 km/h, lol.
It was kinda cool to see the actual gym I used to go to be a pokemon gym. Got a 10km and 5km egg in incubators, rather curious what I'll end up getting. Managed to capture 5 gyms, it's a shame the timer seems to be the same for all of them, I claimed the first rewards after the first gym and got 10 coin while I could have gotten 50 coins had I claimed them after getting the 5th one (I think?).
If you're using battery saver mode or whatever I could never get it to work.

The shopping malls here have gyms that are fortified to the brink. Multiple trainers all with 600+CP.
Luckily outside of the major hubs the gyms are all weak.
And my 10k egg got me an onix.

Damn, Joe putting in that work considering he couldn't get on because PTC was down for a couple days.
I'm hoping my 10K is either a Snorlax or Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan. I want a final evolution so I can just concentrate on maxing it and adding it to my team.
Oohh, a Onix would wreck all the fools down here. All the oposing gyms has high level Radicate's and Pidgeot's.

I should know *exactly* how the different items and things work.
I assumed incense just made it easier to find whatever was "Nearby" you for a while, and that seemed pretty logical!

Yep, its pretty silly that it isn't explained well. Incense should be used when you won't find any pokemon in your area at all
