Finally got an Eevee evolution. What is up with those things? Went from 320 CP to 750 just by evolving, lol. It's my highest Pokemon now.

I've seen Eevee, Fearow, Beedrill on my Nearby when I'm at home, but walking around the block a couple times usually just spawns me Zubats with the occasional Pidgey or Nidoran.

My neighboorhood is considered a cave I guess? Lmao.

I've seen literally one single Zubat since the game launched, and no Doduo. I'm not sure what the triggers are for those. I would have thought they were zoned to grasslands/residential areas.

Vast majority of my encounters are Pidgey, Rattata, or Weedle.

It's Weedles all the way down.

Which would be okay if Beedrill didn't suck. His max cp is like 300 at trainer level 10. My Jolteon is low 600s and still has room to grow.

NYC has a ton of Doduos when it should be Pidgey's and Rattatas lol.

My local park seems to be a breeding pit for charmander tho.

To give an idea of my location, a lure was used at a nearby park and it only got 5 people there. Two of them were using one device. Seems low compared to other people's findings. Gonna be going to an area with much more stops tomorrow though

I beat that Snorlax so bad that it stopped fight even though it was stuck with 1 hp.

Happened to me too against a Pinsir. He took out two Pokemon of mine before I realized it was screwed up.

Meh, if steps don't count when app is closed, then it shouldn't count down my incenses when I'm not directly in game :/

I dont think the game counts steps at all. It seems purely GPS based. Which is not so reliable. Steps would be a godsend

I beat that Snorlax so bad that it stopped fight even though it was stuck with 1 hp.

Wait...

I restocked on a few Pokeballs and got to train at a Gym so that I can assign my Snorlax there. All while being 106° outside.

Even better, someone recently trained at it to make the Prestige higher. Hopefully I'll earn enough Pokécoins before the Red Team decides to take over. They already have an immensely powerful Magmar at the other Gym of the neighborhood.

Go to your Pokemon list and swipe to the left. You'll see your eggs there. Tap on one to incubate it.

I'm gonna be honest. I've never seen Team Instinct around, especially in my neighborhood. I think I've seen a Gym taken over by them many miles away from my home, but other than that...it's just been a raging battle between the other teams.

From what I gather from a variety of anecdotal sources is that steps work like this:

0 Steps = Spawn area
1 Step = 50m-100m (1-2 minutes walking)
2 Steps = 100m-150m (2-3 minutes walking)
3 Steps = 150m-300m (3-5 minutes walking)

As they get closer they show up nearer to the top of the list. A 3-step pokemon in third place is closer than a 3-step in sixth place.
Server errors can frequently cause your list to get stuck making tracking difficult. A pokemon tends to stay in an area for 15-20 minutes. Sometimes the list can blink, this means it is changing/updating in some way.

I have a couple of gyms in my neighborhood and the one closest to the entrance is Team Instinct. The strongest is 300+ CP Haunter. I've seen a red gym too. I haven't seen many blue gyms around my town.

Had friends over and they went for a walk. I see a gym I control nearby comes under attack but I keep control. Then they come back saying they beat my gym but got the 1HP glitch, lol.

That glitch has killed my inspiration to play the game until they fix it.

There gonna deffinitely have to make some refinements, you shouldn't have to go through 30 something pokeballs on pokemon, the chance of it crashing is way to high. A high teir item that calls a specific pokemon into an area would be welcome.
