I know they want to sell their own but they should totally tie Pokemon go into the popular fitness band apps somehow, that would be an awesome feature to have even if it was just for egg hatching.

Screenshots like this make me sad. Where I live in the UK there's absolutely bugger all near me. The game is completely barren, and it ruins it. It seems like a pretty major flaw that should be addressed imo, as clearly what they use to determine pokestops and gyms only really works in cities.

Yeah, there's a few pokespots around, and about three gyms fairly spread out in my area. Which is better than some, but compared to people from big cities, it's pretty barren.
I'm hoping they open submissions after they've properly released it everywhere.

Level 11 and still getting shitty Pokemon. Gonna go into Wimbledon and see what's up. Maybe it'll get better now its officially out here.
Also, tracked a Haunter for 15 mins and it disappeared. This really needs to give you a sense of what direction to go in.

It's been the top trend on Twitter here for days, I caught it being the top trending search on the Irish app store (seemingly removed since) ... there are even Pokemon-themed club nights happening! But no Pokemon Go, officially anyway.

Been playing since launch day, just haven't been very talkative.
Caught hundreds of pokemon so far and taken a few gyms (not that i've been able to hold them very long). Gym competition is pretty intense right now in my area. But there are pokestops EVERYWHERE and people using lots of lures. It's really satisfying.
I find myself actually not dreading my commute as much because i have a fun activity to do along the way.
The popularity of this thing is outmatched. Seen nothing like it. I was walking around downtown Berkeley and two people asked me if I was using GO randomly without even seeing my phone screen. And i'd say about 75% of EVERYONE i saw that had a phone out was playing the game. About 100 people in my 30 minute walk.
Groups of people congregating around pokestops using lures all over the place.
It. is. insane.

It doesn't work in a car or anything going over 20 km an hour. Or that's what I've been told.

You'll have to use stronger pokeballs, which can't be bought and only come from leveling up or pokestops. I'm hitting that as well at lvl 15 and only have like 20 great balls.

Doesn't work in a car unless you're going slow or stopped. Driving goes too fast for pokemon to spawn in, probably deliberately. It also doesn't track distance at that speed either so you can't hatch eggs faster.

I think this game is a lot of fun, part of which comes from the fact that everybody is playing at the moment. I just love walking through the streets and seeing other people playing and then you just smile at the strangers because they are doing the same silly thing as you are.
And I actually quite like the descriptions for the Pokéstops. Quite interesting which places they've chose here in Berlin.

Could an iPhone user in the UK who downloaded it from the US via a US Apple ID please confirm that if I can delete the app, redownload it with my UK Apple ID, I can simply log in with my Gmail account and not lose anything?

Been playing the apk since Sunday in the UK. Is it still ok to use that or won't it get updated like the official release?
There's just 2 feeble stops on my map and they're right off in the distance so I'm only about half way through level 4 thanks to capturing fecking Weedles and Pidgeys.

So who's dropped coins on upgrades yet? Bought my first bag upgrade tonight when I couldn't use anymore Pokestops... Have a feeling I'll be following it up with a Pokemon upgrade soon too.
I got off the bus as soon as I could and ran back down the road but it had disappeared by then unfortunately! Great advice though for folks who didn't know/give up after a glitch like that. Just seeing it in the wild has spurred me on to keep an open mind and continue exploring.

Finally took down the gym down the street. The dodge mechanic makes taking down Pokemon twice your level trivial. Most abilities are easy to dodge. Once I knocked out the 1980 CP Vaporeon, it was a breeze to take out the Exeggutor.
One of the guys took the gym back within 20 minutes though. At 4AM, wtf? I took it back, lol.

That's what I assumed, but I'd feel better with confirmation from somebody who has actually done this rather than another assumption from somebody else. Have you done this?

I'm really glad level up speed takes a nose dive after 20, pseudo soft cap. I was worried people ahead would stay far ahead indefinitely.

I'm still struggling to reach 10 D: praying my mass evolution/xp potion strat will help. I don't live or work near areas with easily evolved pokemon tho. I've got 1 pidgey and 1 weedle.
