Anybody unable to boot the game on their IPhones today? I only got it to load once this morning before it crashed and now it just sticks on the loading screen at about 30-40% Rebooting my phone several times didn't help either.

Having this problem currently. Did the game just launch in another region or something?
 
Man getting annoying couple times ive tracked the mon i wanted from 3 steps to 1 to no steps, for something else to spawn thats not even on nearby list. And maybe its my phone ( s7edge) but the egg tracker is terrible, sometimes it clocks it and sometimes it skips a lot. I know about the speed cap too.

Urgggg, the server is killing me.
The freaking loading ball keep spinning like cray, and when i try to catch a pokemon it just free at the thing.
 
If the server is down for a relatively longer time, it is an indication that official release for a country is happening in the next one to two hours. The server was down before releasing in Germany and UK for the past two days.
Oh, did I mention there is a rumor that it will be released in Japan at 10am? It's one hour from now.
 
Apparently, Japanese launch is at 10 JST, in just under an hour.

According to my wife, who's friend at work is a friend of the Niantic Japan guy. There might be an official source somewhere but I haven't checked.

Wonder if the servers will survive.
 
So is Ditto in the game? What about Farfetch? Besides Mew, Mewtwo and the legendary birds I've never seen those two mentioned as being caught by someone.

I've been wondering that myself for the longest time, looked at the chart linked and it's a freaking Goldeen. I see it on my list all the time but never ran across it.

I heard on Reddit that Farfetch'd was a Japanese exclusive, I'll let you know if I find him once the game goes live.

Launching in Japan basically equals to launching in Asia region. A few days ago the server was up in both Japan and the other parts of Asia at the same time for one hour. If the rumor is true, Asians are going to get the game together with the Japanese.
 
How do I know if my Pokemon got assigned to a gym? I was having connection issues but now I see a little icon by Pokemon. Also how do I know if it's winning?

No Co-Op, no. But you can each chip away at them if you have mons close to the beginning mon. You just need to beat one at all to knock off SOME prestige.

The icon means your Pokémon is in the gym. After that, you don't know it's beat until you get it back into your inventory (might also be depleted on health too). So the longer you see that icon that means no one has been able to beat you out yet.
 
man this game somehow keeps getting worse and worse performance-wise for me. I used to just encounter freezing and such every once in awhile. But my game freezes over half the time I try to catch a Pokemon now. Last night it wouldn't even let me evolve Pokemon after I'd used a Lucky Egg "due to error" so it was just wasted. It takes up to like 15 seconds for a Poke-stop to properly load up most of the time so it's now useless to try anything while riding in the car. Sometimes a stop will actually load up correctly and I'll just get "try again later".

So basically I have an hour left to play and it's raining outside!
 
City is covered in trainers right now, servers are still shit but hatched two 10km eggs. Eevee and a Snorlax. Eevee was disappointing but turned into a flareon (is that the good one). Used a lucky egg and did about 15 evolutions too (and hatched the 10km with it), skipped from level 10 to 13 in 15 minutes.
 
I wonder whats going to happen when the gyms have 2000 cp pokemon. How are the lower level people going to compete with that?

I hope we get a game update this week...

I hope we get weekly challenges or something.
 
Shop is down, repeat shop is down.
Welp, let us hope Niantic prepare this time for Japan's player.

You can gang up on the gym. Also the pokemon hp remain after each fight, so you can just grind it out.
 
I can't even capture the one gym in my neighborhood. Someone scavenges it while I'm feeding my dude potions to put him in the gym. Didn't see anyone else around so maybe they live next door (it's a church in a residential area), but it changes owners like every 10 minutes.
 
Why is this not available without shenanigans in Canada yet or am I just not seeing it...everybody is talking about it in Montreal for example but I dont see it in the store.
