I anticipate this and curve every great and ultra ball no matter what. Never throw them straight. I do a half circle that starts at the pokeball and ends above the Pokemon. Never fails. Pokemon can still escape, but at least the ball isn't thrown on the floor

Touch the ball and circle your finger on the lower part of the screen. If you throw it while it sparkles you do a curveball.

Kangaskhan exclusive to Australia
Tauros exclusive to North America
Farfetch'd exclusive to Asia.
No idea what would be exclusive to Europe since I'm there.

Can anyone counter any of these? If you can, was it capture or egg hatch?

I just caught 2 pokemon and circled the ball until it sparkled, but it did not give me a curveball xp bonus, is there more to it?

Spent 30 minutes today looking for a Koffing. When I finally threw in the towel, he appeared right on top of me... while he had 3 footprints underneath him.

What the fuck is the point of the footprints, because this isn't the first time this has happened either. I caught a bulbasaur yesterday that had 2 footprints under him as well.

grab the ball and curve it along the arrow path. Let go based on distance of the Pokemon. Yes I caught that pinsir with a pokeball.

I suppose it has been talked already here, but there is an annoying bug right now (at least in Spain, but ive looking on the internet and theres reddit thread with a bunch of peoplw worlwide having the same probles as some hours ago) where all pokemons in your list stay with 3 steps forever. They still appear when near them and you can catch them, but they never go down from 3 steps so its actually nearly impossible to pin point rare pokemon.

Doesnt matter reseting the game, doesnt matter uninstalling and installing it again.
The steps are always bugged.
Have been all morning outside catching pokemon and asked everyone that was playing (like 30 people) and everyone had the same problem

Already used the informing bugs page of pokemon go, but it doesnt hurt as much people to send it as they can.
Probably some servers issue, bur now catching is nearly luck base and not fun anymore.

We don't need to know if you caught or seen Tauros in NA. Only if you've caught or seen the others. Same for other continents, like we don't need to know if an Australian has a Kanghaskan, only one of the others that aren't supposedly exclusive.

The smaller it is when you can comfortably hit it, the better. You get "nice" and "great" bonuses for landing in the circle, and a higher capture chance.

You need to go from circling to release in one smooth motion. Like so:

Trace round the circle a few times then smoothly spiral out from it.

Same here, a snorlax showed up so I went a good ways in every direction and it never once changed from 3 footprints to 2 footprints

Actually, the way to curve is to hold the ball and spin it in small circles until it sparkles. Then release at an angle and it will curve back towards the target. You don't actually draw the curve.

a. People in the courthouse could hit it and they didn't like that

b. It was right by an entrance and maybe people would be crowding around blocking it.
