Whats the secret of getting a 1000+cp pokemon?
Evolving 400+ CP pokemon.
Or getting lucky with your egg hatches and wild pokemon enocunters.
Whats the secret of getting a 1000+cp pokemon?
Took the train to go to my gf's place. She picked up me 40 minuts later than planned because of traffic and I wasn't even mad.
Captured a gym, catched a shit ton of mons and went from level 11 to 13![]()
Lol Z100 radio in nyc just said "is that a bulbasaur in your pocket or are you just happy z100 is commercial free?"
Seems like the footsteps are broken in my game now. Always shows 3 steps, even when Pokemon is right next to me.
It's just that within a 15 mile radius of my home, there are hundreds. I get on my bike and go on adventures. If I run out of pokeballs, I run out. I will never buy them so I can either get off my ass and go somewhere to replenish or I can't catch anything until I do. I know some people are considering being able to hit a stop from their chair the holy grail or wish they didn't have to worry about running out but this is actually a big part of the draw of the game for me. If you don't have any stops that you can either make a "supply run" to or hit as a part of your ordinary routine (or a slight deviation from it) as part of playing the game, such as in an area too rural to have any Ingress data, then that I completely understand and they do need to implement some way around that issue, but I hope they are thoughtful about it.
Is this a Wartortle?

Welp. Time to go track it.
I think it's meant to be a softcap.
Well they said they were on holiday there but ok. Still, it's a Farfetch'd
Has anyone seen this footage, holy crap there are so many people out there.

Welp. Time to go track it.
Ah damn. But it's a Wartortle @_@ I gotta at least try.Tracking is broken currently. So unless you want to wander around aimlessly, I wouldn't outright try if I were you.
You should still go out there. Just cause it's good to walk.![]()
If you're using Battery Saver mode (in-game), switch it off. I definitely got a huge improvement in performance immediately afterwards. It's still far from perfect, but it's manageable.
I'm glad people are having fun, but I simply cannot look past all the technical issues and give Nintendo a free pass for trying. The concept itself is great (Although it is missing critical features. Right now it feels like an extremely watered down version of Pokémon). I guess the app is working a lot better for other people than it does for me. The app freezing during the catching process became the bane of my current gamer life.
What's this about the tracking being broken? Three paw prints are useless, but I've been able to track 2 paw prints pretty successfully.
My Vaporeon held onto a gym for a nice six hours since lunch but then someone took it down... and replaced it with a Clefairy.
Just watched an idiot steaming on Twitch when a very nice police officer told him to mind the streets. After she (the cop) drives away the streamer turns to the camera and tells his audience that she asked him to have sex. What an awful individual. And he has 12k viewers.
All Pokemon on your radar currently show up as 3 steps, even if in reality they are 2 or 1 steps. It's likely a bug on the servers. So the steps are meaningless currently. Heck, they could be literally 10 feet away and still show as "3 steps" currently
There is no way that your level has anything to do with pokemon spawns (incense excluded) since my lvl 5 GF sees the exact same pokemons as me with lvl 19 when we go out for a hunt.I think past 15 is when you start seeing the good stuff
You watch weird streams...

I can stream my Go session on Twitch? How?
I just installed this app as well, highly recommended. There are a lot of charities to choose from so you can find somewhere you approve of.

How does tracking work? (when it does)
Like if I click on a Pokemon to track how do I know the direction to walk?
NP! Can't take credit for the idea, thank you anonymously viral Facebook person!Awesome idea! Thanks for the links!
You don't know, you have to do some mental triangulation. It's hard when they have 3 steps, but if there are 2 and it turns to 3 you are going the wrong way.
yeah but at least you should get higher cp spawnsThere is no way that your level has anything to do with pokemon spawns (incense excluded) since my lvl 5 GF sees the exact same pokemons as me with lvl 19 when we go out for a hunt.
yeah but at least you should get higher cp spawns
at least i hope so
i'm lvl 12 and my best pokeyman is a 300cp raticate
I think I just caught the most powerful rat in all the land

The bottom-right-to-top-left nature of the full nearby box makes triangulation much easier. It still doesn't guarantee you can catch any 3 footprint mon but it's much simpler to tell if you're going in the right direction.
I'm rather sure it only happens at times when you try to catch strong Pokemon which are at least orange.
Pokemon defending themselves is my best guess.
difficulty
I was hoping at least great balls would not curve like that
but nah
it's the most frustrating part of the game for me
is it even possible to throw those right? how?
or is it just a random wasted ball
Its a defense mechanism for higher level pokemon. I figured it might be trying to teach you to do curveballs yourself. From what I can tell (just anecdotal), throwing a curveball might decrease the chance of that happening. Didnt read that anywhere else yet though, so not sure if its just my imagination.
Level 18 now, and I didnt get a single ball thrown "off" so far, if I do the curveball myself.
