What I dislike, there are a lot of weird attacks in this game that I don't know. Horsea for instance has a steel attack. Why?
Horsea is made out of blue steel? Things were so much easier before they introduced all those additional types.

Over 100 people gathered on the first Pokemon Go meetup in the country and app is not even released here.

...what did everyone do?
Flash Cannon?

Also, one of the college campuses put together this in order to try and get people to come catch Pokemon there: http://www.unomaha.edu/news/2016/07/pokemon-go-at-uno.php
Yep, exactly.
It's a TM move that Horsea can learn.
So not super random.
It bugs me that they misspelled Gastly. Also, isn't the plural form of any Pokémon the same as the singular form? i.e. 1 Magikarp or 100 Magikarp
Well, it does make no sense though. Same with my Oddish who has/had (just got rid of it) a fairy move (Moonblast).

Map looks great. Wish my university did something like this.

It makes more sense in context to how the creatures may behave than what elements they thrive in. These sort of things add more balancing than anything.Well, it does make no sense though. Same with my Oddish who has/had (just got rid of it) a fairy move (Moonblast).
damn. with bike racks marked too. this would have been ridiculous at schoolMap looks great. Wish my university did something like this.

Oddish learns Moonblast at level 43 in OR/AS
Goes over the heads of people who haven't played Pokemon in the last several years (such as me).It makes more sense in context to how the creatures may behave than what elements they thrive in. These sort of things add more balancing than anything.

It has Moonblast for the same reason any other grass mon might have Solar Beam.
Here's the Pokemon Gold Pokedex entry:
"Awakened by moonlight, it roams actively at night. In the day it stays quietly underground."
you would have liked absorb and acid as its only attacks? It was always grass/poison though. They should have went with the proper attacks for the specific generations in my opinion. At least that would have made fighting more fun for me.
"It may be mistaken for a clump of weeds. If you try to yank it out of the ground, it shrieks horribly."

It works
It's an Easter Egg from the anime

Smallest. The smaller the circle the higher the chance of you capturing it.So when you hold down the pokeball are you supposed to wait until the circle is at its smallest or largest
Well my Starmie knows Power Gem which is a rock move, and my Seadra knows Blizzard which is an ice move.
Really just seems like they picked moves by random based on the most current attack list. I don't really see an issue with it.
Was Ratticate always able to learn Hyper Beam? Mine has it which I just noticed, seemed like a strange move for that Pokemon.
hyper beam was physical in gen 1Was Ratticate always able to learn Hyper Beam? Mine has it which I just noticed, seemed like a strange move for that Pokemon.
It used to be water > fire but now it's like water < fire + possible electric move.

Water is still much more useful to have in Gen 1 than Fire.
I'm talking about which Pokemon beats which Pokemon. The types don't seem to matter much anymore with every Pokemon having access to 5-6 different attack types.
I got this Pinsir from an egg today. Not bad at all.
That was the exception though, not the norm. But that's always been the case.
Starmie in Gen 1 was always Surf/Ice Beam/Psychic/Thunderbolt
...I got this Pinsir from an egg today. Not bad at all.
...
i would train it
4x flying weakness kind of makes me hesitant to train a Pinsir to be honest.
