Slightly modified one of these cool wallpapers and now I'm rocking this home screen:

I know they changed the map so it's more zoomed out and less.....useful, but for the past day or so I'm not seeing a map at all on both my devices and my partners.
Is this how it is for everyone?

It's a Golem.
Thank god those bustling markets of Estonia and Slovenia got the game.
The amount of hidden shit in the game makes me smile. It's like the original gamesEevee popped up in my kitchen
pretty cool easter egg for the franchise. this and running away from the starters to get pikachu are like part of gaming lore now.
still showing all pokemons 3 footprints no matter where I go... WTF is this shit
Game is released in 26 new countries, and France isn't even part of it. Why??
I want to get in on the fun. ME. Tell Estonia to send their best and I will battle them in a Pokemon trivia contest. What are you insinuating with this post? There's tons of people out there that want to get in on the fun, shouldn't they be able to?
So is it possible to make real progress in the game without spending real money, or has Nintendo got me by the goolies with this game?

Very much so. More so than most Free2Play games including i.e Clash Royale. So is it possible to make real progress in the game without spending real money, or has Nintendo got me by the goolies with this game?
What do you need money for exactly? I haven't had to spend a single dime and i've never been hamstrung because of it.
But i'll freely admit that I want to invest a couple bucks in some incubators though. But the game distributes those quite frequently already.

Depends on how luck you got with your choice of place to live. If you live in NYC you will be able to run theough the levels super smoothly. If you live in a rural area you're fucked. So is it possible to make real progress in the game without spending real money, or has Nintendo got me by the goolies with this game?

I haven't spent anything and I'm level 19, though I'm tempted by egg incubators. You can get the cash shop currency by holding gyms, though that's not necessarily reliable. So is it possible to make real progress in the game without spending real money, or has Nintendo got me by the goolies with this game?
Just went to the shop screen and saw all the items for Pokecoins and then beneath that the option to buy Pokecoins in my local currency. So far from a Pokestop I've only got Pokeballs.
Anyone know if the new Eevee trick works or if it's another failed system to evolving your Eevee?
You didn't answer the question. Is there something out there blocking your progress in the game that requires a real money purchase? Because I haven't seen any.
I haven't paid jack shit so far (lvl 15) and i've never felt like the game mechanics were actively pushing me to buy anything. You'll get plenty of those shop items simply by leveling up, including lures, eggs, incense and what have you.
It works.

What trick?

Also, I read that if you use Incense or a Lucky Egg and you change the time on your phone you can "cheat" the timer. Any of that true?
Wow, randomly turn this on while I work (I know) and there was a dragonite. Used a razz berry and 23 poke balls and bastard still escaped. I don't want to play anymore.
I'm tired of everything busting out of pokeballs. I just gave up after throwing 10 at a 100 something level zubat.
I'm level 17 and it seems to have only got worse.
