Shit, I'm thinking the same thing. I can't forsake Yveltal for Mega Charizard X, but man... Also, for the record, I think both forms are great. Mega Charizard Y stays truer to the spirit of the original Charizard, keeping his type and boosting him to legendary power levels, while Mega Charizard X changes him to the Fire/Dragon-type everyone thought would be more appropriate.

Mega Charizard X is only 2x weak after it evolves. Still not good, but better.

Wow. This is some bullshit that it's only available in X. Fuck you game freak. Just straight up Fuck You!

You can always trade for it, you know.

The only competition it has with the released info thus far is Ninetales who isn't exactly sturdy either. While rock is crippling, Charizard has a ground immunity and x4 resistances to grass and bug, giving it plenty of opportunities to switch in. Charizard's weakness to stealth rock has been greatly exaggerated. No one uses him, because he doesn't fill a role that other fire types can't fill better. Drought will change that completely.

Stealth Rock just seems like a terrifying thing for Charizard Y, especially if you opponent changes the weather, forcing you to switch him in again. Though I guess most teams have a pokemon that can use rapid spin in order to negate it.

Pokémon X has the superior Mewtwo and Charizard Mega-Evos this is really a no brainer for me. I'm getting X with no regrets.

Personally I prefer Mewtwo Y. Hope someone is willing to trade it.

Drought is Huge, but I am so sick of Weather Teams dominating Wi-Fi battles. If you don't have an opposing Weather Team your usually screwed. I would much rather just have a sweet looking Fire/Dragon without the Cheese boost.

Yeah there's a flag in the game data for moves that make direct contact. For example Earthquake and Fire Punch are both physical but only Fire Punch makes contact. Grass Knot is a special move but does make physical contact.

Stealth Rock has been nerfed with Magic Bounce, but it remains a problem. Still, spinning is not exactly difficult as Starmie and Tentacruel are terrific spinners. Only Jellicient does a good job of blocking them. So, yeah, if you want to use a sunny day team, you better prepare a spinner.

It looks weird in the pictures so I watched the video and it still doesn't look right. I'm not sure what looks worse the spikes on the shoulders or the dangling constant flames flapping the sides of his face. The color scheme is what makes the X version cool I guess, if the Y design had those blue and black colors it would easily be cooler.

We don't actually know whether Vensaur and Blastoise will get version specific Megalutions yet. It could be the case. Charizard X reveal was an anime tie-in.

Yeah, ever since the DS games. The way trading is set up, you can do it person to person, or through what's essentially a giant online trade board (Global Trade Station).
