Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

this looks really cool.

I found an interesting GIF while browsing:
10h50uw.gif

It's a link of the screenshots of the event battle between Raikou and Zoroark. It seems to show a bit of idle animation and one attack animation.

Hopefully the battles move that quick too.

I'm sorry if it's been posted, but did anyone check Serebii? They're saying that in the next issue of CoroCoro we'll get yet ANOTHER Pokémon reveal, some new images, and information on how to catch Zorua.

At least we know for a fact that pokemon sprites move/change when said pokemon attacks.

edit: ^^ i was refering to that, it seems that way.

Thats at least 4 frames of animation in that gif alone . . . OK, now I'm on board!

"Zoroark's" foot goes down when it gets hit too. His/ Her pose changes . . . hoping that PS has a vid of this, can't wait for it!

It seems I was wrong.

I'm happy to be wrong.

You mean Entei`s foot, right ? I dont see Zoroarks feet moving but i doo se Entei`s, and it is awesome.

Its incredible how a simple extra frame of animation in a battle can shake the entire pokemon fanbase, they got us by the balls :lol

Yay for basic animation!

I switch between "Hey, looks cool," and "Took them long enough."

In fact, if everything goes well I think BW will be the "Took them long enough" generation.

I don't know how I feel about the textures on the ground here.

Also... what is that red thing? A Slugma?

I'll help you. They are ugly, unless the grass is supposes to look like tiles for some reason...

Wow, overlooked that at first and now it's really hard not to see.

Surely, that'll get fixed before release... surely.

Likely the grass textures aren't finished and they used the green indoor floor from D/P.

You really think they'd go with that permanently rather than reusing older textures?

Actually, I'm starting to grow on the pig and grass ones. The game looks fun too.

To be honest, I've always been more interested in the cartoon show and actual Pokemon designs rather then the games (could never afford the systems/games). My sister did buy Pokemon Silver at a pawn shop a couple years ago, and it was fun, but I never got deep into it. We worked together and got to the Elite 4 guys then the game erased our file and I haven't played it since.

I was thinking this might be the first non-Japan Pokemon title. Would fit the older characters and that sure looks like a western city.

It's also an excuse to have very different Pokemon and areas :) What Pokemon would live in a large canyon or *insert american land type that Japan doesnt have here*?

Get SS, then this, you`re all set.

I tried extracting the Piglit sprite, but the compression and the red background make it really hard and I'm not very good with sprites. If anyone wants to work on it, here it is:

If you haven't yet, check out the Pokemon Adventures/Pokemon Special manga.

Seconded. Best recreation of the Pokemon universe by far, way better than the anime/movies, and these are mostly Tajiri`s words, not mine.

Those words are pretty old now. The Special manga changed a lot from the games later on.
