Pokken in NicoNico Stream feat. Famitsu (Jan 23)

Looks like 21 spaces minus the random=20 mons?

So 4 buttons equals 4 moves since when? Tekken is also 4 buttons, you know?

i was guessing 4 moves for each button in the game pad
but you can combine them to make new move
like jump and attack , or dodge and attack or use two button at the same time

This is all we have as confirmed right?

Stages
Village
Volcano

Pokémon
Lucario
Blaziken
Pikachu
Maschamp
Gardevoir
Suicune

Assists
Snivy

Can someone help me out with the names?

If you're going to put Blaziken in there you might as well put the city plaza stage in there.

There's also the city stage back from when we first saw the game. Emolga, Lapras and Fennekin are also assists.

So you mean actions, moves usually refers to "attacks" or "special attacks" in fighting games.

3D fighter with really small little arenas? Well there goes any interest I had in this...

Why would a bigger arena be better? Some people tend to run away a lot and spam projectiles when given so much room which is kinda annoying.

Like what I'm seeing so far.

Though, I definitely see more comparisons to the likes of Gundam Vs. than Naruto. Smaller arenas, and you can't really expect to spam assists and ultimates to win. Good signs!

Or it's probably like Tekken. Two punches, two kicks, L to block and R to some sort of Super. Just speculating here. The Special moves are a combination of directional inputs + buttons.

Dunno about the current Naruto games, but the Gekitou Ninja Taisen games on Gamecube are like the exact same as this.

I haven't seen a Mega yet. Does the Pokémon mega and then return back to its normal size after one attack? So Mega is essentially a Super?

Pikachu needs a diaper outfit and a win pose where he grabs his unconscious opponent by the head and slams it to the ground. Then he will be a true Heihachi disciple.

Mega seems to be just a universal mechanic in this game. There's a super meter for both mons, and if the Pokemon has a mega evo of some kind, they turn into it, otherwise they just kinda get more powerful. They seem to get a super attack but can only do it until their meter runs out.

Instead of having that yellow circle on the stage. They should add a fence to the village, rocks around the stage in the volcano stage and a small stage or cones in the city plaza.

This is pretty hype. Love it when the crowd starts going cray and screams every time one of the players manages to land an ultra.

...Not really, in my opinion.

Those games still played overtly similar to a 2D game, with side-steps. This has free/8WR-run, and projectiles seem to have even more importance when it comes to zoning and setups.

It honestly reminds me of some aspects of Koei's old game, Destrega, in a lot of respects, now that I think of it.
