The LA times polls weighs one 19 year old black man in Illinois so highly that when he dropped off the poll Hillary went up +4-5. He comes back and Trump goes up.

It's shit.

The LA Times poll in 2012 is different from the LA Times poll in 2016. RAND is doing their same poll (basically) and had Hillary +9 or some other such silly number. Their methodology is only as good as their initial sample, and that poll has been debunked a million times.

I mean, today, it has Trump losing Hispanic voters by 3 points.

If he was losing the hispanic vote by that much he would be competitive in a state like CA.

Imagine you work for him and have to choose between keeping him "negative verb emails" or explain how formatting and sterilizing fat32 sectors differ.

Bleach away, Dolan.

Point taken.
I imagine trying to win an argument with the Donald is equivalent to me trying to get my Shiba Inu to come when he's managed to escape his leash. It's not happening.

The tough thing is I want to go with the LBJ Republican Convention ad, but you'd hate to have it be too LBJ heavy. But he sure did have some great ads for sure.

What's funny is how I'm having a hard time coming up with an iconic Bill Clinton ad for how innovative his campaign was. Read My Lips was certainly an effective ad, but it's not really entertaining.

Do we expect Gallup to return for future elections?

I cannot imagine they can recover from the lack of prestige of constantly sitting out elections.

The funny thing is looking through his 1992 ads, he was talking a lot about being against welfare and taxes, the shit you hear Republicans talking about today.

I just watched that 5+ min video from Clinton's twitter. There are moments of candid interactions with people. Moments of empathy. Moments when she's "authentic" and "genuine" and all the things people lambast her for not being and looks like she actually gives a damn about other people.

I mean she could just be faking it constantly.

But I don't know if I've ever seen the equivalent from Trump.

That Ted Cruz War Room ad really ended up being kind of true outside the obvious anti-Clinton bend. Well, and that Ted Cruz couldn't be stopped. But Trump as the Republican nominee was truly a disaster

Best ad she has released. It is fantastic.

Isn't tomorrow supposed to be the big terrorist attack that the FBI said might happen?

This post feels a little irresponsible without more context. :/

New York Police on Alert After Warning of Terror Attack Before Election

He stressed that the information about the possible threat, passed on several days ago by federal authorities, was very vague, but that officials were nonetheless taking precautions.

Though saying tomorrow is confusing (for me, at least) - I'm a full 11 hours in front of PST (Steam-time :p ), so for me, it's just gone 9am on the 7th.

Also, it's fairly obvious that day before election day and ED itself would be prime-time for a possible terrorist incident (either home-grown White Nationalist, or other). Don't be jumpy, but do keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

I actually think that a couple of the most powerful political ads of all time are Hillary's recent actual Trump dialog pieces, the girls and the generic one, but it's like trying to show people Citizen Kane in a hurricane. Not to mention our acceptance of low hanging fruit.

The only photo I've seen of Trump touching a plebe was the one with the little girl who is obviously repulsed by him.

If I were a terrorist hoping to influence the election I would go after Florida, or some other high profile battleground state.

This was referred to as the inoculation strategy. The idea was to take away all the most common attacks that destroyed Dukakis, Mondale, etc. The death penalty was another. The idea being that by taking those positions, Clinton inoculated himself against the go-to Republican attacks and people would be willing to listen to his proposals. The early 1990s were a political climate influenced by the Democrats having lost 5 of the previous 6 presidential elections, that's for sure.

No need to worry about IL/MI/PA in that 2032 map. So long as Obama is alive he'll go door-to-door and personally drag every single AA voter in Chicago, Detroit and Philly to the polls. Hopefully. WI is weird. Really not sure where this state will be in 20 years. The population centers in the southeast have a lot of cultural and economic bleed from the Chicago area but in the white-as-all-holy-hell NW 2/3rds I could see some Trump like nationalism thing catching on. The rural west is strangely progressive here, along with eastern MN and northeast IA.

Make sure to get the Daisy ad where Lyndon Johnson basically threatened nuclear fucking holocaust if you didn't vote for him.
Hold up.
Goldwater wanted to nuke North Vietnam. Fuck him. The Daisy ad was justified.

p.s.
He also was against the civil rights act of 1964. Seriously, fuck Barry Goldwater.

I considered posting a side-by-side of that Hillary ad and the Trump (((Globalists))) one on Facebook, as a compare and contrast both-side-are-not-fucking-equal-anyone-who-says-otherwise-is-an-idiot. But I genuinely couldn't stomach the thought of looking for (and at, to make sure I had the correct ad) the Trump video.

It would sure help the Democrats if the Milwaukee suburbs went through the same transformation that the Chicago suburbs did (red to purple). That's the current GOP power base in Wisconsin.

Goldwater set the GOP on the course that led it to today.

I miss the cold war consensus...

I loved LBJ's mockery of his "in your heart, you know he's right" slogan. "In your guts, you know he's nuts."

I mean there's this. But I wouldn't consider this anything other than a self promotional photo op.
I actually can't find anything on google images of him trying to make any connection with the unwashed masses.

The mind boggles at the idea that he is somehow for the common person.
