What, Bernie delegates were not registered Dems? Why, that would be as crazy as Bernie not being a registered Dem.
How sad.
Look at Roberta Lange's Twitter.
Several motions on the floor for a recount. Basically ignored voice votes, shut down convention. Pretty much shit all over the process. It's not good.
Never seen anything like that.
What, you don't think the official vote's results should stand? Why?
Voice votes are bullshit. If the Bernie guys are trying to overturn the official results then she should shut it all down.
Never said that.
It has nothing to do with that.
Well if you want to be understood you need to speak in complete sentences. Use a noun, verb, and whatever other parts speech you need to in order to be understood. Posts like the one you made mean all we have to go on is what you're responding to. Either take part in a conversation or don't.
Following it live right now. Sorry I'm not conforming to your post requirements. I'm sure we'll all hear about it soon enough.
Adios!

Care to explain?
I'm so late to this but I got rekt during Eurovision and now somehow I'm totally sober at 2:00am bit can't sleep because my Berniebro won't sober up and STFU. Mess. Sad. Etc.It's Saturday night. What is poligaf drinking?
Screaming is not democracy.
Caucuses = voice votes plus an exact hour to participate = worse democracy than winner-take-all states for Republicans.
I voted for Bernie in the Ohio primary.
I fucking hate myself for it right now. Fuck Bernie and his bros. Bernie deserves nothing.
Compromise has made all the significant change in our political landscape in my country in my lifetime. Ideologues have done shit. Contrarianism has done shit. Bernie folks say "my way or the highway". If we'd subscribed to their views in the last 60 years, we'd be living in 1960s America. Ugh.

What are the chances that Hillary actually signed this letter I got in the mail today?
Cause it looks like a pasted in jpg/PNG. :/
I believe I was told earlier today that we should be "courting" these folks instead of mocking them.
I've also seen their behavior on the floor today, and their behavior elsewhere. It's been atrocious. This is not an isolated incident.
How are we supposed to "court" them when they're screaming and frothing at the mouth?
If they can't behave like adults, I want them to go away. The vast majority of Bernie voters are sane folks who'll line-up when the time comes, but this special breed of folks who think assholish behavior at these events is acceptable or productive? They can screw-off. I'm not going to waste my time trying to court them.
but
wut were you drinking
Bernie being unwilling to compromise is actually the smallest part of the overall problem. If his policies were well thought out, remotely feasible and politically viable, I wouldn't have an issue with him talking a hard line stance. Especially because he's supposedly a message candidate.
The issue I have is that his policies have seemed to become some sort of litmus test to some in the far left. Some of these voters seem to think that we're all just corrupt because we won't take the perfect, easy solution Bernie is offering. Obviously, college is too expensive. Why argue about the best way to increase funding and keep costs down? We'll just make it free! Healthcare is too expensive? Why bother with the reality of our hodgepodge system. Lets pretend we're Europe and actually planned this thing and make it free!
To me, the issue is not that the good has become the enemy of the perfect. It's the lack of political curiosity that arises from Bernie holding such rigid standards of what is corrupt and establishment.

Do you hate my liver? So start drinking again.
Smirnoff Ice Electric Berry. All of them. Then vodka. Then some more vodka. I tried some of that red wine mixed with chocolate. Then I ordered Chinese to try and soak up the vodka.... But just ended up adding more alcohol to the mix. Then I fell asleep. And sure my weight in General Tso chicken.
If I didn't work tomorrow if make me another orange juice and marshmallow vodka. Shit is good mane.
Oh and Kyle drank some IPA or whatever. He likes beer. Sad.
I'd probably never see him again. I go to the liquor aisle and pretty much buy the stuff that comes in pretty colors. Seriously that Electric Berry Smirnoff ice is my new Berniebro. So so so good.Kyle would be right at home at my place then. IPAs galore. A safe haven of beer snobery delights for anti-establishment whole foods shoppers. Not sad, oh yas.
Reading a paper that cites a survey where only 1/4 of white people would live in a neighborhood where the population was 15% black or higher and I want to die.
Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with Sanders, the democratic party/Hillary should take note of his supporters and what attracts them to his campaign. After the economic crash, America became significantly more polarized. I'd say a significant portion of the population shifted to ideological extremes which resulted in OWS and the Tea party. I think it's important that Hillary and Democrats next election cycle try to better appeal and incorporate what that crowd desires. His campaign has proven there is a decent amount of the American population that is not afraid of the word socialism. Although no democrat should label themselves a socialist if they are trying to actually win an election. Also that a fair amount of them were independent voters, not democratic. He also brought out a significant amount of millenials. While he was never going to appeal to the south, I felt he made inroads with southern white people that other Democratic candidates have not been able to win over. Not saying that anyone should follow how he ran his campaign. I believe that smarter democrats in the future will come along and be able to take advantage of some of the groundwork Sanders established. At least I hope with the momentum Obama has created in the past 2 years and a significant push to the left by a portion of the American population that HRC will be able to keep the momentum rolling.
The issue with Nevada should like metaphor to how these people think. Not giving a damn about the party, trying to change the party without the concerns of the actual people within it, and wanting to have and eat it to; be an independent whom were never Democrats and trying to do what they want.
If there's one thing Republicans can learn from Democrats is how to prime viable presidential candidates. After 2012, Republicans spent their entire energy trying to destroy HRC instead of building up a candidate of their own. It's always seemed to me that Democrats have a few candidates that they began priming for the position years in advance. Democrats need to learn how to operate as a team. It was terrible how most democratic candidates ran from Obama instead of unifying behind him and having his back when he has been president. In terms of local elections, the Democratic party needs to step it up and defend their decisions instead of letting republicans control the narrative.
I'd probably never see him again. I go to the liquor aisle and pretty much buy the stuff that comes in pretty colors. Seriously that Electric Berry Smirnoff ice is my new Berniebro. So so so good.
He bought some blueberry ale out something. I tried it but still not a fan. I'll stick to my Smirnoff. Extra hard lemonade, and vodka in all the things. Oh and tequila. But only if I can sleep until noon.
I was also trying to order some wine on Amazon. They don't need to tell us who the certified purchasers are. The reviews from people who have had it are clear to see.
Blueberry ale something? bleh. Sweet beers make me vomit the morning after. I can't drink anything that has any sort of sweet berryness too it. I love bitter. The more bitter the better. I think I'd rather drink your strawberry peanutbutter mashmallow tequila vodka drinks than any fruit flavored beer.
Cough syrup.
God, I fucking hate spring colds. =_=
Yeah. I probably shouldnt have posted that, if Cerium wants to edit that out it'd be cool. Posted before I thought it through.Just say no to creep shots.
...is a terrible idea. And his campaign has proven more that a decent amount of the American population has no idea what the word socialism entails.I'd say a significant portion of the population shifted to ideological extremes which resulted in OWS and the Tea party. I think it's important that Hillary and Democrats next election cycle try to better appeal and incorporate what that crowd desires. His campaign has proven there is a decent amount of the American population that is not afraid of the word socialism.
How exactly is this shown whatsoever?I felt he made inroads with southern white people that other Democratic candidates have not been able to win over.
Of the 43 delegates Nevada will send to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July, 20 are now pledged to vote for Clinton and 15 are pledged to vote for Sanders, based on the results of the Feb. 20 caucuses and Saturdays convention.
Democrats remain deeply divided between the two candidates, with boos from Sanders supporters bringing the convention to a standstill at times. They also raised questions about the final delegate count and accused party establishment of rigging processes against them.
While the convention credentials committee ruled Hillary won, a Sanders supporter offered a minority report arguing 64 Sanders supporters were disqualified without a chance to prove their eligibility. Party officials said potential delegates were disqualified because they didnt show theyd met the voter registration requirements or didnt provide sufficient identification information.
They noted that eight prospective Clinton delegates had also been disqualified, and six of the disputed Sanders supporters were ultimately allowed as delegates.
I was hunting for news and finding it weird that the stoking of the flames largely comes from RealClearPolitics.
In any case, a decent summary of what went down, I suppose.

The state party also distributed a statement from Sanders himself.
We share a commitment to electing progressive Democrats up-and-down the ballot in Nevada and across the country and are committed to soundly defeating Donald Trump and the right-wing Republican agenda, the Vermont senator said. Working together respectfully and constructively on Saturday at the Nevada Democratic convention will move us closer to those essential goals.
This is kind of weak. I hope he takes a more active role honestly.
What does he even want? I don't know anymore.
