Can we really rule out that Joe is related to the aliens that are also using Bristol to incubate their spawn that will soon overrun the Earth?
The only way to be safe is to kill all the children of Republicans everywhere, just to be safe. It's for their own good. We can't have a bunch of people going around questioning the fairness of our government's wealth distribution.

Since John McCain put the hot lamp on him last night and made him the focus of his rants against Obama, why don't you get on the red phone and ask the McCain campaign to start dispelling some of this stuff? Your boy brought him into this mess; don't whine in here if you don't like us just pointing out those pesky facts like he isn't a plumber, he owes back taxes, he would actually benefit from Obama's tax plan, he has had 2 divorces, and he may be connected to the Palins and Charles Keating. Help your boy out, McCainiacs!

This has the potential to be epic.

I don't expect that all the Wurzlebachers in America know each other though.

I hope not, because another one of them did time for 40 months because of KEATING FREAKING FIVE. :P

The issue of course isn't that he isn't allowed to question it. The question is why are his questions any more relevant than any one else. Old Jenny. Old Billy. Old Tony. Old Whoever. We had an entire debate full of "regular folk" at the townhall.

And here I was thinking you only had bad ideas!

I'd recommend killing off the first born, but it'd probably be a bit too Jewish.

Palin whines about ACORN. OK . . . let me get this straight . . . the person who was found to have violated law and abused her authority by a bipartisan investigation denies that she did anything wrong AND she criticizes others for not disavowing a group that has not been found to have committed any wrong-doing by any court or any investigative body?

That's rich.

BANGOR, Maine - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, campaigning with an eye on winning at least one of Maine's electoral votes, criticized Democrat Barack Obama on Thursday for not disavowing a community activist group that registers voters.

The group known as ACORN — the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now — has drawn condemnation from the Republican ticket as its workers sign up voters in swing states. Nearly a dozen states and the FBI are looking into allegations of voter registration fraud.

ACORN officials have denied allegations of concerted, widespread fraud but acknowledge that some of the group's registration workers might have turned in duplicate applications or falsified information to pad their pay. ACORN says it it has registered 1.3 million young people, minorities, and poor and working-class voters.

"In this election, it's a choice between a candidate who won't disavow a group committing voter fraud, and a leader who won't tolerate voter fraud," Palin said.

I think he was the only man in America who could rationalize McCain's tax policies with a (fake) personal story. Regressive tax policies have found a face.

was this posted?

(CNN) — John McCain continues to lose ground in three battleground states, new CNN polls of polls out Thursday suggest.

According to the new surveys, McCain is still slipping in Pennsylvania, Florida, and even Colorado — a state that hasn't voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since 1992.

In the new Pennsylvania poll of polls, McCain now trails Barack Obama by a 13 point margin, 53-40 percent. That deficit is up from 12 points in a poll of polls released earlier this week.

In Florida, the state that handily voted for President Bush in 2004, McCain trails Obama by 4 points in the latest CNN poll of polls, 49-45 percent. That's up from a 3 point gap there over the weekend.

And in Colorado, a longtime Republican stronghold where McCain has held the advantage for months, the new CNN poll of polls shows Obama on top by 6 percentage points, 50-44 percent. Earlier this week, Obama held a 5-point lead over McCain.

Well, we had a healthy nuclear industry until the Democrats curb stomped it into submission in 1977. Then in the following years allowed special interest groups to effectively strangle it under regulations and taxing it into near non-profitability. Which is a major reason why so many exisiting projects at that time pulled the plug. So, it should be no surprise that investors abandoned the industry after losing so much money. (Bu bu bu the market failed, right Mandark?)

Due to human nature's affection with NIMBY, the only solution would be for government-controlled nuclear plants (and OIL REFINERIES) to be built where they make the most sense. It's as important as the national highway system was 50 years ago and should be treated as such. Perhaps after these plants are up and running you could slowly turn them over to private control .. that's a discussion for our children to have. But for now, you need a big hammer (the government) to start driving in the stake and get it going.

That's the thing. I feel similar about healthcare. But why do so many people like yourself scream at us when we want government take a bigger share of the load when it comes to health care?

This Joe plumber crap is such a joke. Let me get this straight, the guy is outraged over a hypothetical situation where he may SOMEDAY start a company (he doesn't seem to have any concrete plans), and then, IF he somehow manages to make more than $250,000 a year (he makes nowhere near that now) then he will hypothetically be taxed 3% more.

With all the REAL financial issues millions of Americans are having NOW, this hypothetical is so fucking pertinent, right? Does he stay up at night stressing about this hypothetical?
And now he's supposedly the face of the average American 'scared' about Obama's tax policy?

This is a dangerous time. There's basically nothing between now and the election, and the media is desperate to latch on to any 'story' or soap opera they can find- and Im sure the McCain camp is more than willing to throw as many their way as possible.

I'm just thrilled the campaign has been derailed for at least one news cycle because Obama spontaneously went door to door on Saturday and some angry dude asked him a hypothetical question.

Edit: On second thought...no

Someone should tell Joe if he likes the idea that most Americans pay a majority of their taxes in payroll taxes, which is highly regressive and falls the hardest on the poor.

Thank me later GAF!

I find it funny that McCain said his "old buddy" Joe would have to pay a fine he won't have to pay under Obama's plan without doing his research and discovering that his latest stepping stone victim actually owes taxes and may be fined under our current laws.

If the media talks about Obama's tax plan, McCain loses. The more information is out there, the less McCain can spin and scare people.
