Don't deal with idiots. On that note you can carry on with the gimmick about now voting for Nader and your rage at phonecalls. You've only got two more days with it. I've done my job and I'm cool now.
I'm seriously worried about Illinois, hopping in my car to volunteer there right now, to try to slavage this election...besada said:I'm concerned the sun won't rise on election day.

No, that's hypnotism you're referring to.yeb said:I was taking a nap and woke up to a phone call from an Obama volunteer. First political call of any kind I've ever received, asking me to make 25 calls between now and election day. Apparently, I'd marked myself as willing to volunteer at one point; now I feel like I have to. They definitely have an impressive system.
The concern troll posts in web forums devoted to its declared point of view and attempts to sway the group's actions or opinions while claiming to share their goals, but with professed "concerns". The goal is to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt within the group.[13]
For example, in 2006 Tad Furtado, a top staffer for then-Congressman Charlie Bass (R-NH), was caught posing as a "concerned" supporter of Bass's opponent, Democrat Paul Hodes, on several liberal New Hampshire blogs, using the pseudonyms "IndieNH" or "IndyNH." "IndyNH" expressed concern that Democrats might just be wasting their time or money on Hodes, because Bass was unbeatable.

Amir0x said:Seriously things were MUCH different when Obama was facing off against Hillary - even though I volunteered for him back then, you could tell we were going to lose. The energy was there, but it wasn't reciprocated at the door-to-door level.
Now? Fuck even in this traditionally red part of the state, I see Obama signs. People greet the doors ready to talk politics, and infinitely more say affirmative to the Obama vote. Even people who say they will support McCain don't seem particularly enthusiastic about it... they're just all "yeah I guess I'm going to go McCain."
I mean I am riding around, and the GOP here don't know what the fuck is going on. Their ground game has to be epically shitty. I see a giant SARAH! sign by Wal-Mart, but McCain is in tiny little letters beneath it.
The message is warped, Republicans are positively depressed around here. I hear it at the Tobyhanna Army Depot... many have resorted to simply saying "Well Obama isn't going to deliver what he promises", as if the mantra can implode the candidate!
PENNSYLVANIA is 100% fucking Obama territory now. If he loses, I -promise- I won't post on GAF for a week.

I'm not the idiot running a retarded campaign machine who do not know how to take people off their calling lists. And it is not just been a small amount of "phone calls annoyances" as you put it, it has been door to door visits as well. And it has not just been over this weekend, it has been a culmination over the past month where it has come to the point of being unbearable and I have to resort to screening my phone calls. If someone cannot control their own campaign groups and stop bombarding people with phone calls and visits when someone tells you on multiple occasions to stop it and they are a member of the damn party already, it makes you question how are they going to manage the country.Amir0x said:I'm in PA. Got a million calls today from Obama, some from McCain.
If a call is enough to alter your vote in the negative when policy issues such as health care, the war in Iraq and energy are on the table... then...
...this is one of the cases where the label "idiot" might actually apply, and not be an insult. It might simply just be the correct label for a person who would reject the issues of the day for phonecall annoyances.

The rule is supposed to be that whether the Redskins win or lose determines if the incumbent party wins or loses (i.e. Redskins win = incumbent win). The Redskins lost in 2004, which meant Bush should have lost. He did not.ryutaro's mama said:No, it's based on variables...the 'Skins don't always have to win or lose.
But supposedly, the way the game prior to the election involving the 'Skins turns out, has corrected predicted the outcome 17 times.

It's the most McCain victory scenario that occurs most often in his simulations.
How often?
1.69% of the time.
