How likely it is that Obama will do the following?

1) Win Florida?

2) Win Georgia?

3) Win Virgina?

4) Win Pennsylvania?

5) Win New Hampshire?

6) Win Colorado?

7) Win Iowa?

If he wins 2-7, it's a solid victory for him, right? So that's where everyone's concerns should be focused. The above states.

My completely out of thin air odds:

1) 30%. Retirees + Jewish vote should have meant an easy McCain victory. It will be close, but McCain takes it.

2) 5%. Bad weather preventing voters is really the only thing keeping McCain from taking it.

3) 75%. He's been ahead, but it is a traditional red state. I still say Obama wins it.

4). Lower than everyone thinks. I put it at about 65%.

5) 100%

6) 90%--and it's the state that puts Obama over the top.

7) 95%.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. Obama wins Georgia and loses Florida.

That's quite a limb. I'd love to see it and watch Fox News break that news.

I think Obama will win all of those but Georgia. Maybe Florida, too. The big state you're missing is Ohio, it's going blue this year. :D

It seems like GAF has this attitude that between MO, SC** and OH, Ohio is the least likely to go blue, I really don't get it. I can't wait for my state to redeem itself.

**Oops, I meant NC. Sorry,North and South Carolinians

my hopium-induced prediction is that any state that's within 5 points in polling will go to Obama in the end due to the ground game and enthusiasm.
and lack of cell phone polling

Lies. Start your concerning!

START? FUCK ME I CANT STOP.

I'm not going to feel good until Obama hits 350 EV. Because you know they are going to take 10 states back Florida style

It's trolling because it has been identified in the standard PoliGAF anti-troll process:

1. "Trolling" occurs
2. "Trolling" continues to occur
3. Backlash against "trolling"
4. Argument about "trolling"
5. "Trolling" stops, yet argument continues
6. Mock trolling
7. All is forgotten

I liked the trolling part. Tee hee hee.

How long is this thread going to stay open after the election? If it closes, can we please have a post-election Obama thread? There's gonna be so much shit to discuss, and so many epic comments from talking heads from now until January. It would be a shame if there wasnt a central thread for this.

Does it cycle back to #1 at any point?

Because I'm getting worried about Pennsylvania.

This thread will probably be shut down tomorrow night for an Election thread. Then from there it's all about how much discussion there is.

This thread will be shut down in favor of a new election day thread. I assume there will be a thread for cabinet selections and the inauguration and stuff afterwards.

I guess it should have said; "All is forgotten... for now." Will edit.

11% in the winner take all market. At this point there are likely people holding contracts simply because they paid so much for them 2 months ago.

I was looking at the average not latest price lol I also find IEM more accurate than Intrade (even though the numbers are similar right now) cos with a $500 limit, one person can't manipulate things..

I'm sorry. Just got back from Wednesday. Guess our drug control program helped to control the spread of hopium.

But there's another recount of ballots in Florida so who knows.

virginia and penn are not going red.

Every professional observer of this general election is predicting a solid victory for Obama. And yet, doubt remains among us. WHY? What are the doubters pointing towards which will prove the consensus of agreement wrong?

I dont really care who wins anymore. Anyone who actually looks beyond the hype sees we are fucked and both candidates are stooges but god I would piss myself laughing if McCain found a way to win.

The way Gaf would be would certainly be worth pissing oneself.

There isn't any doubt, just a bunch of pretend doubt to make fun of a certain poster.

Wow.

This is the EXACT same bullshit people said about Gore/Bush and Bush/Kerry.

Guess what: IT'S STILL BULLSHIT TODAY. Who we elect MATTERS.
