National polls don't mean anything. No point in discussing them in such detail. They're interesting snapshots but the winner isn't determined by the popular vote. Also, they don't take into consideration early voting, voter turnout, people without landlines, etc.
crusher of hopium confirmed.

national polls dont mean anything, no, especially now. they havent for months except to see the 'large' big picture trend, which tended to portend a state poll move 2 weeks later. now, it doesnt matter, though it may pick up final pushes in one direction or another, especially as state polling winds down and daily trackers are the last 'pre polls' in the field

Look at the quote you posted...then look at the post I quoted...
You do realize you are still wrong on the comma bit, right?

Illuminati, I don't want to get into a discussion about grammar, but you are incorrect on this issue. Please just drop it.

Why are so many nintendo fans archconservatives?
Gaborn, Perfectchaos007 and laserbeam? There are probably more. Don't know why though. I, however, don't believe that there is a correlation between political beliefs and console preferences.

For example: why did so many Sony fans turn into batshit insane zealots on the gaming side starting from about February last year? The spin and cognitive dissonance on display is simply amazing to watch (Wait for... Year of the PS3... HDTV adoption rates... etc.).

What's even more amazing is that many of the same people are pretty good contributers to PoliGAF and can spot the cognitive dissonance displayed by the Clinton and McCain camps yet fail entirely to see the parallels between the winning strategies of the Wii and Obama brands, focusing their attention on other things entirely.

Politics and console wars end up the same way for many people. They're about passion and emotion and reason rarely ever comes into play.
