Not like the MvC games tend to have a lot of female Marvel characters, but seeing these lists reminds me how bad the movies are on the female superhero front, damn. Not much to choose from:

Thanos, sure, but I didn't write Dormammu considering he's only had a small role in a single film so far, although that's likely to change. I do think Dormammu will make it, though.
You forgot Wasp, Nebula, Elektra, Valkyrie and Hela. Anyway, Black Widow and Captain Marvel I think are shoo-ins.
But the game isn't going to be just MCU. From the comics there are Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl which Marvel is pushing. There'll be plenty of DLC as well, and there's a ton of great female characters in the comics.
Given how hardcore Marvel's been about the ban, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Maybe if Seth Killian was still around, he could contest it. And as much as I respect Combofiend, I'm not sure if he can beg for characters as hard as Seth could.

Because everyone knew pretty much from the start that the logo was fake.
But there is a considerable amount of information from decently varied sources that all seem to be implying that MvC4 or at least something Mahvel related will be shown off at Capcom Cup.
Considering an official publication is running this story, and they heard similar things from sources (that isn't the Neogaf thread) makes this much more likely.
Logo was fake, but Polygon claims they have an independent source.

Curious what kind of artstyle people want to see this have. An evolution of the cell shaded ish looking MvC3? Something a little more real to reflect the MCU influence?
Is Ego confirmed to be a villain in Vol. 2?
Cel-shaded/upgraded version of MvC3 but with 2D character select/key art similar to TvC and MvC2.

You're not wrong, but at the very least I think the MCU has made those character far more famous, which makes their inclusion in a game like MvC far more justifiable to the publishers. Like, none of the characters you list there has made it into one of these games yet, but I'd say they're all bigger at this point than, say, MODOK or Taskmaster.
Hopefully MvC4 benefits from that and has a better female:male ratio than before.

To be honest guys, I feel like I'm burnt out on speculating for now. There are simply way too many variables, too much stuff that's still up in the air.

I wouldn't mind the comic book look they were going for in MvC3 or like something that would fit Resident Evil and MCU but anything is fine with me.
You're missing Quake, a pretty major omission.
Captain Marvel might also get in preemptively.
Widow and Gamorra are probably locks.
Jessica Jones would be a weird choice because her powerset in the show is completely different from the comics. I don't know what you'd go with for her moveset.

Yeah, lots of people keep saying this. But we've got x-books all the time, a new event coming with both the inhumans and the x-men, Dr. Doom is freaking Iron Man right now (one of them).
None of that makes sense if they're trying to kill them off.
Although, the did literally kill a bunch of mutants with the Terrigen mists (which is what creates Inhumans), so that's pretty meta. lol
Definitely, my expectations are in check. I accepted this possibility a long time ago. I just have a good feeling about it.
Sony (If they're involved with funding) may have some muscle to show, there's no denying the X-Men and especially Deadpool would be a big sales draw. Though they may just flex it for Spider-Man reps lol

Well, although the X-Men will most likely be out, Capcom won't let their play styles and move sets go to waste. I envision a lot of Smash-style pallet swaps where "new" characters are really previous X-Men.
For example, Wolverine is now Black Panther. I could also see Magneto's moveset going to Captain Marvel, and X-23's going to Gamora.

How do you feel about the upcoming Inhumans vs Xmen? I hope they don't try and be edgy and start killing mainstays just because. Would be a cool idea to play off of that event and include both Inhumans and Xmen into the game or have a DLC event tied to it.
I haven't been reading either book, so not really sure. Only Inhumans I know are Kamala and Black Bolt. Black Bolt from Hickman's runs and Kamala because her book and character are awesome.
Not even sure who is writing it. Is it Soule? I know he's attached to a lot of Inhuman stuff.

Mutants were born that way woth the X-Gene, Inhumans need to sniff a fart cloud. Oh and said fart cloud is fatal to mutants now even though it empowered them before because of reasons. Also needs to be noted they probably are going to war soon, and the status quo of mutants getting shat on is upheld.
