MCU vs. Capcom

Marvel vs. Capcom: Cinematic Universe

Actual actors is a massive deal, although I wonder if they just got recordings and cleaned them up.

I quite liked the sound of Iron Man in MvC3 :(
Doesn't the vs marvel characters have their own universe?
Or am I thinking of something else?

Then they just won't get him. Seems like Chris Pratt can be gotten pretty cheaply, though.

Yep, he did VA for all the lego games

I think marvel would be able to use all actor likeness. Like someone mentioned kingdom hearts, but they have to pay if they use their voice.

So it would definitely be a case of "so your voice or we'll get someone else"

Bronson pls

Stop

I hope you like DEAD EYES

If what Nibel heard is right, and it's not called Marvel 4,t hen that makes the no X-Men pill easier to swallow. But it also tells me they probably won't ever bring them into the fold either.

Also means the 2v2+ assist slot is likely real.

I'm excited. It sucks that we probably won't have some staple characters like wolverine, magneto, cyclops, dr. Doom, etc. But I'm excited at it opening the door to other characters that wouldn't have been in it otherwise. I'm assuming most of the guardians of the galaxy will be playable, spider man, etc. I'm hoping they have daredevil, the punisher, etc. also.

I hope they've learned from SF5 also. Release a full game at launch, while also keeping out the ultimate version of the game. Releasing MvC4 ultimate a year later was crap.

Chris Pratt is no stranger to voice acting. He was on Ben 10: Alien Force & more recently reprised his Jurassic World role for the Lego game.

If they have actual actors/likenesses, then this should have some pretty big financial backing. I'm a little afraid this is aiming for a completely different market now.

Whoa, MCU actors might be in this? That sounds crazy.

Damn I am so excited to see how a MCU backed Marvel vs Capcom is going to turn out.

So Marvel Super Heroes 2?

That's ok by me to be honest. Keep MVC pure and 3v3.

I won't say that rumor is 100% from nibs, but I wouldn't write it off either. It seems plausible looking at RE7 and how that engine scans actors.

But now I'm thinking no Capcom characters at all though

I kept forgeting to put Ant Man in my MCU list, how the fuck would he work lol :D
Maybe just me but, I think it'd be hilarious to have a character you couldn't see (other than the player marker) and instead make each move have like a really distinct sound to it so players (both the person playing antman and his opponent) were forced to listen in order to react. And then you'd have antman assists to deal with xD it'd probably end up silly or broken, but it'd make me laugh.
Reminds me of the changes they made to killer instinct to accommodate blind players. Maybe you could integrate mechanics like that but for antman (as well as that kind of accessibility support in general, cos it's awesome that they did that).

The mobile & Funko things are just trolling on BronsonLee's part.

ARE THEY?
yeah

I believe the MCU thing but not the mobile stuff at all. The Funko thing is my wishlist for maximum destruction.

And tbh I would love a Marvel only game because fuck Capcom

Some of these rumours, if true will absolutely crush any interest I have in the game. If it really is PS4 exclusive I won't even have any means of getting it anyway.

Plus 2v2... Eck.

I don't think the "MCU" influence would extend to the art style specifically. If they do get the VAs and model them after the movies that's great but I still kind of expect Capcom to go with a cartoon-ish art style similarly to MvC to maintain consistency across Capcom's franchises as well.

At this point it's capcom characters I'm worried about. Sounds like this might be marvels answer to injustice and capcom is just developing

And to everyone terrified about the Funko art style, now you know how I felt when they announced a brand new Fire Pro Wrestling for 360 and it had those fucking Avatars

Holy shit, what happened here?!?

Who's SneakersSO?
What if this is MCU vs MCU developed by Marvel?
Will it be console exclusive? Gimme dat PC, eh?!
WHAT'S IRON GALAXY UP TONIGHT?!?

Would make it less grating when say they can get Spider-Man and Thor to have their proper voice actors but Iron Man is a poor imitation of RDJ

"Hey, excuse me... heheh maximum spider !"

I've been wanting a MSH2 for a while alongside a MvC4. 2v2 of that I would actually adore. An announcement of the former I wouldn't mind.

But damn, if so, another year of waiting for playable Regina, Simone and the return of Jin. ;_;

I think I would prefer a straight up Marvel Cinematic Universe fighting game as well, no Capcom. That means Capcom could save MvC4 for when the X-Men/FF ban is eventually lifted.

If it is, in fact, MCU vs. Capcom, then we better get X-Men COTA 2 sometime down the line.
