It doesn't really matter what 'other' fighting games have tbh.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 had 56 characters and 3 had 50.

Very few MvC fans will accept a 24 character roster. Especially if they're changing fundamental things like the 3v3 system.

Going to go out on a limb and say that this game is going to be a disaster.

The only reason why it turned to 3D Arena fighter is because Team Ninja's involvement. We have no idea if they are or aren't involved.

If they are in on it they could be :
1) Making the game (track record for 3d fighters/ninja gaiden) OR
2) Supplying characters

28-30 would be the sweet spot for less characters than MVC3 but not being a big deal I feel. I think we can all agree it launches with less than MVC3 even if the rumors are off.

Naw much prefer the cinematic quality of MKX and Injustice 2 to the flash color and pop stuff. Unique intros are the best fighting game thing ever imo
