Yeah the Injustice costumes suck. But I appreciate how Capcom was experimenting with the cinematic style in SFV, hoping they perfect the balance
Oh wait I just rememberd MvC3 had intros! But, sort of, like, not really though. Cutesy things and sayings with no logic behind them. Then again, its a crossover where the characters have no history to banter over so its acceptable

Could you imagine NRS doing a character like Spiderman? Rocket Racoon? MODOK? Sentinel? (and on and on until I list every character in a capcom vs. game).

At least there was good dialog that corresponded.
The Wesker and rocket raccoon being the stand out for me.
But yeah MKX did intros better. But on the same hand, they're usually skipped after the first time. So no reason to put much effort in the really.
I do hope outros are better. Wasn't a fan of how MVC3 did it.

You're talking about ability faithfulness and character diversity? Because not every character in MvC can jump 50 feet in the air but they all do it in game. But I agree when looking at the Injustice roster (of the first game at least) that there's barely any body type diversity or comic book 'wackiness'

I hope not. I just started Lego Avengers last night, the cutscenes are cute, but the "finishing" moves using the spliced movie audio sound sort of muffled and get drowned out by the music and other game audio.
I'd love to see the MCU Actor rumor being true, I can see it happening for a few actors like Diesel, Pratt, and Cumberbatch. Considering how getting X-Men TAS voice actors for the early Marvel titles was somewhat a miracle for the time, I can almost see them getting MCU actors as a modern day equivalent.

Hmm who from Dragons Dogma would be a good fit from the game... unfortunately the Arisen as a custom character doesn't really work, I think the guy with red shaggy hair was the "default" Arisen, but the fact that I'm not even sure about that goes to show how generic and forgettable that design was.
Mercedes had a sweet armor set and stood out slightly among the generally muted NPCs of the game, but she's derivative of Caska and doesn't have very interesting moves.
So I say... Julien! Cool full plate armor, can vary the costume with and without face mask, and best of all he's a mystic knight, which has a really cool move set that could translate well to being amped up to MvC levels. I can't think of many fighting game characters that use a mace and great shield.

I was worried about MCU focus and no X-Men characters, but the new rumors talking about the actual game are just so much worse.

I'd imagine they'd just look like their movie counterparts (where applicable).
I personally find said aesthetic less appealing & wouldn't prefer it either, but movie-based merch moves so a lot others would obviously dig it.
EDIT: Oh you were also referring to their moves. Yeah, MK still animates kinda stiffly, even though they've long moved past using real live actors trying to perform fantastical actions/poses.

Unique intros are a cool little thing that is seen once and then its just something to mash Start over.
My hope is that this reboot is a set up for larger MvC titles in the future. Reboot MVC2 ends up having 3v3 combat back.
No matter what happens I will accept the game, buy it/play it and look towards the future. These games are very rare and precious... their existence is a miracle. I don't want to take them for granted.

We know RE7 will have a trailer and MVC4 will be there. If DMC5 is somehow there this should just be called the capcom experience

Yes, obviously, you sacrifice authenticity for universal gameplay elements.
I mean literal gameplay styles. Look at Spidey's mobility. Look at Modok. Look at Rocket. Look at Dormammu. Look at Nova. They all play and handle differently. NRS characters all feel the same, animate similarly, and, to me, just don't feel like I'm controlling the comic characters.
Flash and Superman feel the same. Wonder Woman and Grundy. They all have similar animations, movement, and normals. And all of those feel like a holdover from MK.
I guess if there's only 12 characters per side and we know it's MCU-focused, it's less likely there will be any quirky roster picks, making it easier to predict the Marvel side somewhat:

Star-Lord (if we are to believe Eurogamer saying that there will be more GotG characters)

Yeah if its a soft reboot i can definitely see the sequel including all the characters form previous and just building, which would be awesome. Will be buying all the DLC too.
