It's called marketing. "You've now conquered ghost peppers, aren't you tough. Have some more." and they probably use a tiny bit of ghost pepper so it's not false advertising.

Had some today. My car died at the Popeyes, so I wanted to make them feel worth it.

Basically if you gave me a box of these and the old hot wings, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. They are still good, nice flavor, but not much different.

I liked the buttermilk ranch sauce though.

Not hot at all, was very peppery though, overly I'd say, I sneezed a bunch.

The Popeyes by my house is awful. It's in the same building as a gas station so it's the size of a small closet. I'm not exaggerating here every single time I've gone there they have either 'run out' of what I want or they get the order wrong. This isn't a fluke 1 or 2 times I've went to this place 5 or 6 times because I like Popeyes (generally).

I went there yesterday to finally try the Ghost Pepper Wings and guess what? They don't carry them. No, they were not just out for the day. Don't have them at all.

Sorry Popeyes you are delicious but I'm not going back.

I've experienced the blackened ranch many times. Like I said before, you didn't miss out on much. It had mayyybe a better flavor than the hot chicken, just in a mini size.

Like they could switch recipes and I possibly wouldn't notice. I would just think they made a better batch that day.

The ghost pepper wing are very solid for fast food wings, and my local Popeye's is running a promotion $3.99 for 6 wings.
