I worked for a pub where we used tempura on chicken strips. Far superior!
We made them with beer too which was kind of a nightmare. Try pouring two giant bags of dust into a 2 gallon bucket of brown ale.

Had them a few days ago (Friday)

They were just okay. I'm used to the regular batter in the normal strips, so the texture was a little weird.

The maple dipping sauce wasn't that great (I opted for sweet heat for maximum sweetness taste) and they're actually a lot smaller (YMMV) than regular strips, which are longer and have a lot more chicken.

For $5 it's still not a bad deal (although you have to buy a drink separately, which I found out the hard way and it's kind of stupid), but I'd rather stick with the regular 5 pc strip, cajun fries and biscuit meal.

its good... Very very sweet. I prefer the spicy chicken fingers more.

with that said, this is a sugary treat. Fingers as big as normal... Breading is thicker and more crispy. could smell the sugar before I even bit in.
