TBH it was terrible. The only reason it has so many views on Youtube is because one of the dancer's split their nasty pants so you can see ass about halfway through. Sad what she has to resort to to stay relevant. I hear the ratings were terrible as well.

I'll admit it. Gaga's magnum opus and the best album of 2011. A Grammy deserving album if there ever was one. I still fume.

I think it was an attempt to show how "versatile" she is in terms of hopping on different musical genres or something.

BTW remains her 2nd best for me behind TFM.

The concept of artpop was kind of that Gaga is this constantly evolving chameleon which is why the album is like a genre trip. Some of it works, some of it doesn't but the overall impression the album leaves is a lack of cohesion due to this.

Back when I didn't know Pop music I always read Little Monsters praising the album and calling it a masterpiece so when first gave it a listen I was surprised by how much filler the album had. The songs that aren't filler are amazing though.
