It looks like M.I.A.'s fourth studio album, Matangi, is on its way. This morning, in a series of Twitter exchanges with fans, she noted that the in-the-works record will be out by December, along with an autobiographical book, documentary, and art exhibition (via Billboard). She also mentioned that the album will feature "no collabs" and only producers "that don't act like fame whore coloniser." Ouch. (poor brave Diplo)
She also described the record's genre as "paul simon on acid" and wrote, "no one in the industry collected blows in the last 3 years as much as me, this is a fuck you to them and a thank you to you."

Yes! I hope she makes a real video for it. On a sidenote, does anyone know if Lana's homemade video for Off to the Races is still online? It was up for a while last winter, but then she took it down. Shame, because it was my favorite of her DIY videos (after Videogames, of course)
