So yeah, I might as well get to explaining myself before talking about anything else, shouldn't I?
Well, first off, my scum claim...yeah, it was an #UnnecessaryGambit. It wasn't me trying to joke or anything, I did honestly have a reason to make that claim. I wanted to get something out there immediately and get some info to get people actually discussing instead of just letting D1 be nothing but BS until the bell, but that plan really only had marginal success. I could have tried to tell you this later in D1, but I felt like doubling down might do me better than trying to go back on my claim when it was already looking like I might get the noose, especially since it might get the people who genuinely thought I was scum to potentially back off in case I was being out there because I actually had some insane ability that would trigger once I was lynched.
As far as my votes go, voting for Not was simply an early D1 pressure vote (and, TBH, I do feel their name is gonna make them a bit of a nuisance to write about), but I did genuinely believe that there was a chance that both Kalor and QB were scum, and am thrilled that we actually got scum D1. Still not too sure of Kalor right now, though. His explanation for voting QB yesterday checks out, but he hasn't contributed anything else today beyond two brief fluffy posts. Should keep an eye on him JIC.
To address Sawneeks's concerns regarding my QB vote at the end, I probably would have voted for someone like Burb or Flame if QB didn't start building up votes at the end there, as, even though I didn't really think of either of them as scum, I don't want to die so early after just coming back to GAFia, I didn't want to throw a newbie like kryptik or evilisk under the bus, and I figured tie that would have resulted from that vote might get more people out there to actually vote at the end there.
Anyway, to move on to more recent developments, LoC's claim & accusation of Haly is disconcerting. I don't see much reason to fake claim multi-shot vig. If LoC's town, he basically just signed his own death warrant tonight, while if he's scum, even if LoC is trying to pull off a play like bussing a Scum!Haly to make himself look town for the remainder of the game, every day after we don't get two night kills is just gonna make him look more and more suss. Right now I say we give LoC a chance to confirm his role tonight. If he succeeds and we get two kill flips tomorrow morning, we can start taking his accusations seriously, while if we still get only one flip tomorrow morning and it isn't LoC, then he should be put under a LOT of scrutiny.
And now on to my actual vote for the day. I'm gonna Sawneeks here and assume that we have a better chance of hitting scum by looking at who voted for QB instead of who didn't, partially because it's a smaller pool to fish through and, as someone who's played scum before and won[/I I can tell you that, to win as scum, you have to look town, and the easiest way to look town is to kill scum, or at the very least make it look like you're trying to kill scum while everyone else is barking up the wrong tree. While I assume that scum didn't want to initially bus QB, as killing one of their own so early in the game is not the best of plans, so Crab and Sawneeks are pretty unlikely as they're the ones that pretty much started the train at the end there. I assume the later voters like myself, Burb or Kalor might be scum that jumped on the bandwagon and collect the towine brownie points once they see how the winds were blowing and realizing that QB wasn't gonna be active to defend themselves, but to me, of the 6 who voted for QB, I'm gonna go for the one who sticks out the most to me.
Vote: Bronx-Man
Why? Truth be told, he was the first one to REALLY call out QB's bs and until the end was the only one who thought his slips warranted a lynching until the end of the day. To me, if I was scum, I'd always make sure to hammer hard on my teammates mistakes, especially in a situation like early D1 where my teammates would hopefully have ample opportunity to correct their mistakes. I'm think Bronx wanted to look hard on QB so that if he flipped (hopefully at a later point, since he probably thought/hoped that QB would either did himself out of his hole or that otherwise most people would shrug off QB's joke), that he could point back there and claim that he was right all along, looking more town. And of course, in the counter scenario where Bronx got lynched before QB, the fact that what we seem to be learning from QB's flip doesn't line up with his previous slips implies that Bronx's wouldn't either, and that QB's slips failing to line up with the actual scum flavor would make him look less scummy.
