I got my new kick ass ride this week so I decided to celebrate with a "Post your ride" thread. If you are rideless or your car is a P.O.S. then post a dream car.

I traded in my old 2000 Hyundai Tiburon (V4 130HP) for a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon (V6 180HP). I swear its like a night and day difference in the ride. The V6 has so much more balls than the V4. I've been driving V4 cars for over 10 years now (I owned a 95 Saturn before the 2000 Tib) so the upgrade to a V6 is awsome. Plus I managed to pay less for this car than I paid for the 2000 model. It was a month of sheer aggrivation with the dealership but now that I have it I can say it was worth the energy.

I know theres some of you tools saying that 180HP is peanuts but Motor Trend track tested the car stock and it came in only 1.5 seconds behind a 250HP Porsche Boxter. I'd say thats pretty fucking sweet.

Here a shot of the car next to my old one before I traded it in.

It's not a picture of my bike but it's exactly the same.

1985 Honda Shadow VT500, it's old but I love it.

Yeah, a V4 is not possible in a car. My car's a turbo-charged inline 4 cylinder.

well technically it is possible, apparently they are as rough as all hell though. Of course that wouldn't cut it now...so I guess not possible is correct.

last time it was used in a car application was late 60's in europe http://www.answers.com/topic/ford-taunus-v4-engine

here's the specs for the 2000 tiburon...2.0 INLINE 4

Well, it is possible, but it isn't practical and as you said, hasn't been used in ages. I've been around cars my whole life and I have never seen one.

GO GO SHITMOBILE.
sorry it's in bad shape (is it?). e30s are really beautiful cars.

edit: apologies if it's not an e30. still, the alternatives are quite nice as well!

That looks to be in good shape. Old BMW's are nothing to be ashamed of. :) Is that a 5-series or a 7-series sedan? It's hard to tell from that angle.

Here's my ride. Isn't it great? Complete with a mind-numbing 600 horsepower per car! Too bad that's 600 horsepower for 83,700 pounds.

hahahaha @ L train.

That's my daily chariot too. :lol

As for my car, I'm rocking the serious 1987 535i, so that's an E28. I love driving it so much, but it nickel and dimes the shit out of me with fixing fuses or gauges or whatever. Dunno the blue book on it.

I just looked up the bluebook on your BMW captmcblack. I don't know the equipment or the miles on your car so I just left the equipment stock, and I put in 200000 miles.
Retail: $3,425
Wholesale: $1,400

If it's a 535i, that should be a six-cylinder engine last I checked. BMW inline-6 engines are pretty well respected (it's their trademark; they've been biased towards inline engines for a good while). And some poser is bound to want any BMW if it costs too much to maintain in this city.

And the L isn't the closest line to me, I need at least one transfer to reach it. And it's too bad, since the lines I encounter more use 30 and 40-year-old trains. They smell that old too. The new train models are performing very well, making me even more jealous.

SUV ain't got nothin on me!

It even comes with it's own personal driver, security detail and seats up to 30+! YEEAH BOYEEEEE!

95 Ford Explorer.
It loves you.
I think next month I'm driving back down to Cali and getting my dad's Explorer Sport Trac.

Not mine, but it's the same....

I know, I roll in luxury. I make enough to afford the BMW, but dammit it's just a car.

Besides I have video games, DVD and WWE Classic Superstars figures to buy.

Here are my 2 cars:)

2005 Cadillac CTS:

2005 Cadillac SRX:

I'm thinking about getting a XLR when I move, I really want some kind of sports car too.

Here's mine:

image0154.jpg

2004 VW New Beetle Convertible, "triple beige", 1.8l 4 cyl turbocharged engine, 5 speed, 17" alloys, Xenon HID headlights w/washers, basically loaded. Won first place in 2 car shows, 2nd place in a third.

My buddy wanted a Saab 9-2x but all of the 5MT models have already been allocated and sold out for the 2006 model year (and they just came out!), great deal with the GM employee discount currently going on. He ended up settling for an 05 Subaru WRX wagon instead.

BTW, I drive a blue 2002 Lexus IS300 myself, 5MT w/LSD (no pics), great car =)

I'm not much of a Beetle fan, but that looks foxy

My dream ride:

okay okay... I actually don't have a dream car. My first car will probably be something small like a Ford Focus / Ka, Citroen Saxo, Kia Picanto, or a low end Polo or Astra. Maybe something used.

I actually like Smart cars. I like the idea of them too. I don't see the point in owning anything big in this part of the world unless you have a family of 7 or you need to ferry lotsa shit around places.
