Why go through the trouble of understanding important elements like the motion of objects and the role of timing and visual flare so you can impart a style into your work and steer your audience to certain emotional reactions based on specific details of your animation when you can just draw a bunch of keyframes, tween them, and call it a day?
 
I hope Nick stomps CN into the fucking mud with its Rocko, Hey Arnold and Zim revivals so that it can knock some sense into them.
 
I mean, cool? The reboot was doing pretty middling numbers last I heard. Kudos to them for making her colored, not that they'd explore anything interesting with that concept on this show but hey.

I'd prefer if they just rebooted the series to make the features more evenly diverse across the main three, but I'm sure that would get far more backlash.

The reasoning for her removal is also dumb. They apparently couldnt handle the workload of having her on the cast.

Thats what I read. It could also just be over her being a faceless women with a big chest. Although she was a very strong character so idk about that

Venus de Milo, the long lost "sister" introduced in The Next Mutation series.

I just remembered that in The Next Mutation the Turtles, though raised like siblings, weren't blood related anymore, allowing the writers to add in an awkward sexual tension. Fucking awful show.
 
This show died for me when I learned that the director introduced his avatar into the show to be the boyfriend of Blossom

It was a writer, and if I remember, he didn't actually work on any of those episodes, it was the other writers.

Which, doesn't prove he didn't ask, but... is still weird that someone would agree, or choose to do it without his consent...

That was a 4chan hoax. He was a writter and the artists designed the character to resemble him as a joke. His script is horrible, but the avatar angle was bullshit.
 
So I was flipping through the channels and ended up watching some of this on a whim

The fourth sister is named "Blisstina" and is way more powerful than the rest of the girls because of course she is

They literally write her out of the show by saying she needs to go to space because the planets are out of alignment

The outer space thing sounds too much like a parody on poochie.

If they expected us to love her, they would have used a similar ending than the one from Bunny
 
I didn't watch it yet, but people on Twitter were making comparisons to the Dark Phoenix Saga of all things. Apparently that's Bliss' arc in the special.

And yeah, the way they write her out of this screams Poochie.

I feel so fucking bad for Craig McCracken.

He's stuck in a contract with Disney and they cancelled Wander Over Yonder way too quickly. Meanwhile Cartoon Network is butchering his old work.

From what I'm hearing, Bliss is actually the PPG's older sister who's been missing this whole time for whatever reason.

Of course, that results in all sorts of other obvious problems with continuity and fundamental parts of PPG lore, but basically the point of Bliss' design is that she is a teenager, compared to the trio all still being younger girls.
