(PR) NOA Fall Releases; Star Fox Delayed, FF1&2 English

So wait, Zelda is hitting the UK this year but not the US?

Am I going to be importing my first UK game since Kuru Kuru Kururin?

It's about time we got confirmation on Star Fox. If they going to keep those damn onfoot mission, then the extra time is neccesary.

Why is there not even a word about the DS in that release? Come on people, we are mere months away from the purported launch and we know nothing!

That's probably going to get it's own seperate list when Nintendo has it's unveiling of the final hardware, which should happen soon (next month) if they are serious about a holiday release.

Just as I expected, Mario Tennis got bumped up to make up for StarFox & Geist. Mario Party 6 was an easy guess too, though the new peripheral being just a mic is a little bit of a letdown.... where's that camera?

Maybe Nintendo is afraid of a potential "IT'S AN EYETOY RIPOFF!!" fallout.

Not that a Mic is an original creation, of course, but the Eyetoy is a high-profile competitor's product that launched relatively recently.

So Resident Evil 4 is slated for January.

From NOA's press site...

These games will carry Nintendo through a strong holiday season and into January, when two big games launch: Capcom's Resident Evil® 4 for Nintendo GameCube and The Legend of Zelda®: The Minish Cap for Game Boy Advance. These will be followed in 2005 by the release of highly anticipated games like Star Fox®, Geist™, Donkey Kong® Jungle Beat and many more.

More specifically, it appears Geist & Donkey Kong Jungle Beat are slated for February, Star Fox for March.

Geist looks like it needs more time than that unless N-Space having been busting their asses since E3.

It looks like Star Fox is getting pretty big delay. I hope the final game justifies the amount of time Namco has put into it.

It's amazing how quickly software can appear to improve once the fundamentals are worked out. I wouldn't be surprised to see Geist look great if it does come out in February. Not expecting it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Is this confirmed? I haven't seen anything about it.

Edit: forget it.

Also, we don't know how old the code that was demonstrated at E3 was, especially considering it's Nintendo we're talking about.

I still remain optimistic about Geist. IMO, it has a lot of potential.

RE4 would make a nice 9th anniversary perk.

In fact, I'd fully support a delay if we got a nice little perk along with the title, kinda like the 5th anniversary of RE.

I wonder what's up with Crash not on Cube (only XBox and PS2 this fall), but Spyro is there from Vivendi Universal.

I can understand the competition from Mario and Sonic is big on Cube, but if they are putting one, might as well put the other one...

Final Fantasy I + II Dawn of Souls?

I was so sure they'd call it FF Origins since it's close to the PSone release. =/

Dawn of Souls refers to the new exclusive content and levels on the GBA version.
