PRAGMATA: 15 Minutes of Brand New Gameplay (With Boss Fight)

IbizaPocholo

NeoGAFs Kent Brockman

Check out 15 minutes of PRAGMATA gameplay from the latest demo from Gamescom 2025. Watch as we explore, fight, and hack our way towards the boss fight. We get our hands on three different weapons: the grip gun, shockwave gun, and statis net. The grip gun is your standard pistol with 6 shots to start, the shockwave gun fires a powerful close-range blast that deals heavy damage and may stagger enemies, and the statis net hinders movement with a shot that expands from the point of impact, stunning enemies in their radius. Watch as Hugh and a mysterious girl hack and fight their way through this level.

Out of the 3 upcoming Capcom games, this is the one I'm more interested in...

And oh, in case anyone's interested in pronouncing it correctly, it's not "Pragmàta" but "Pràgmata" ("things" in Greek).

Same. RE9 characters not doing it for me and i want to love Onimusha WotS but i'm struggling to get past the soulslike look.

I think if the combat can be done smoothly once you get used to, i'll like this game a lot.

It looks good. After some middling games with Dragon's Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds it looks like Capcom is bouncing back with this game and Onimusha.

Day one for me, the Paradroid sequel I always wanted
Hope that Capcom adds a co op where 1P Shoot and 2P solves puzzles and enemies are more than in Single Player

It's going to be one of those things to where you have to go hands-on for yourself to know truly. But with paying the entry fee to do so I'm sure many will wait for reviews.
Yeah me neither. That combat mechanic could potentially negate my purchase.
I don't either, but at least that aspect stands out from all the other generic, derivative, and homogenous slop we continue to get.

I am glad they are trying something different. But I don't know if that is he different I want. If they put out a demo I will check it out.

The boss fight seems like a nice indication of things to come, you need to dodge actively and hack while trying to aim and shoot.

And for me I welcome new ways to approach combats in games. A majority of games now are under the same methods to approach them. It will take some time to get used to, but you will feel like you're on autopilot after a while.

I am a big fan of this games aesthetic, voice acting looks great, premise is interesting and gameplay looks fun and different! I can understand peoples aversions to the whole idea of the hacking mini game but like someone else says: we get the same over the shoulder camera angle game, be it hack and slash/souls-like or TPS' that are devoid of creativity.

This just solidifies my interest!

This looks like my jam, I love the puzzles during combat.

Also, interesting that two years in a row we will get major releases featuring large lumbering male characters with a pre-teen girl riding on their back.

I like puzzles, I like third person shooters and I like Capcom games, but...

This really seems like an annoying game, where the puzzles are too simplistic and exist only as gimmicks, which will probably get old really fast.

Plus having a kid as a sidekick following the main character and screaming things during battle is never a fun thing.

People said exact same thing with destruction in DK Bananaza how it's "gimmicky" and how it will get old and after spending 65+ hours doing everything it never got old.

For me this super interesting, trying to both focus on the puzzles and enemy coming at you is exciting. Also I'm 90% sure there is going to be AOE hacking ability which hack one enemy and other will be hacked as well.

I feel like people severely miss judging this game….I personally welcome games trying doing something different and that's the point of taking risk, not gonna appeal to everyone.
