Pragmata |OT| Tactical Hacking Action

I don't think so, there are a bunch of stackable mods that make for not using cursed or coupled with cursed. The whole more crit mod with 15% dmg on crit shots and the one with 15% dmg for airshot go well with it. There is that other mod for more dmg when the HP is lower than 50% I think. By the end of the game I stacked all types of different dmg mods and nuked larger enemies with airshots using the shotgun or the piercer charger.

I just acquired the 15% damage on weak points mod, it's pairing up pretty nicely with the various other one's I have.

In total I'm doing around 55~% more damage per shot. Not bad, not bad at all.

I think I'm gonna stop trying to perfect each training. The last 4 are fucking brutal and I'm spending more time with them today than I have with the story.

Yeah dont have to worry about perfecting trials, you wont get trophy for it and it doesn't unlock anything.

I did it anyway but it not all that worth it.

At this point my main reason for butting my head against them is to get the max upgrade points I can to max out the stats.

I have Primary Unit and Hacking to lv 20, Health is way lower at lv 8 right now, cause I spent most of the game dodging and weaving so health upgrades weren't really much of a factor.

Do these challenges on your 2nd run. I did all 30 with perfect score, and like Danjin44 said, that last hack one was soul crushing, I had 0.5 sec to spare I believe before being hit by lasers.... but on normal run you'll be so overpowered. I like to make everything on my first playthrought but I wish I saved it on 2nd, just didn't know you had to do a clean state run.

With training just focus getting individual rewards, you don't need get all 3 rewards at once.

Man the texture on switch 2 da fuck. Really capcom? I can understand tiny objects as the datapad touchscreen but see the only area with a beach and the sand mapped with a ps3 texture in 2026... Fuck. Hope they will fix this shit but capcom still stay capcom.

Fantastic game. Capcom doesn't miss.

We all knew it was gonna end with one of the two dying :(

The ending kinda took a Horizon Zero Dawn plot twist but the game was pretty good for what it was.

A very cool thing I noticed is the Dualsense lights will change depending on many different actions you do in game.

For example: in the terminal when you walk through the green suit repair grid it briefly turns green.

Post game.

Unknown Signal: I can see what they're trying to do. But man these post game challenge maps are just so uninteresting. They're like less challenging versions of some of the advanced training modules.

Hopefully it pays off with an alternate ending or something. Let Hugh live plz :messenger_loudly_crying:

After playing a demo last year, I thought that Diana would be annoying af, I wasn't a fan of hacking cuz it slowed down gameplay, sucked fun from gunplay cuz you had to pick up weapons cuz they only have limited ammo. But now, after playing a full game, Diana growed on me A LOT and I love her playful and childlike nature and what they did with her in general and her relationship with the MC.

And gameplay... well it's just way different from what I've played before and after playing the game more, it become very clear to me that you just don't need to rush things and it's for the most part just slower and more strategic type of gameplay unlike in most TPSs games where you need to kill enemies faster, take cover from time to time and gameplay is more fast paced. So yeah, I understand what they wanted to do now and it works. I also like exploration a lot, looking for secrets and stuff and about to get to the second boss.

I REALLY hope that Capcom will continue to greenlight these kinds of unique projects and new IPs and we'll see more of them going forward, even if it's just one game without a sequel - not even every game needs one anyway.

I do like you unlock Jackhammer which is very fun weapon to use and once you do unlock it you an even use it on Lunatic difficulty.

It's a good thing to admit and I hope others give games like this a fair chance. Things people didn't like pre-release they now thoroughly enjoy. No review is going to give you that level of assurance.

I liked it. It's a really chill, straightforward adventure with a bit of an old-school vibe (kinda PS3-era, but in a good way). Pragmata works great as a shooter - gunplay feels solid, and the hacking system is honestly one of the most intuitive I've seen in a while.
The pacing is a big plus. There's pretty much no downtime, the game keeps throwing new stuff at you: weapons, upgrades, hacks, simple environmental puzzles. It all flows nicely and never really gets boring.

But… it's too easy. I think I died maybe three times in the entire game, and that was mostly due to my own mistakes rather than any real challenge. And yeah, higher difficulty unlocking only after finishing the game… classic. :messenger_neutral:

Story-wise, it's decent. Good enough to keep you going, but nothing amazing. The character relationships are what carry it. The little android companion completely steals the show - she's super likable and just hard not to care about. The main guy feels a bit bland in comparison, but that might be intentional.

Also nice to see the parent + child dynamic not going full heavy drama like The Last of Us. It's lighter, more feel-good overall, and that actually works in its favor.
8/10

I'm kinda surprised there's no Resident Evil related easter eggs in this, or at least I haven't seen any yet.

End credit has rolled and i loved every second of this game. Would love to have a Collectors Edition of this, but guess that wont happen.

Killed myself on purpose last night. I'm in the terra dome part of the game and it was late. I just wanted to play till the next 'checkpoint' where you go back to base camp. But instead the game kept going from one chamber full of bots to another over and over. I had to go to bed. I was even running low on health things. :( Lots of weapons and hack drops but no health drops.
So I just stood there and let me and a robot girl die.

Think I'm nearly finished, it seems very short. Expected it to last quite a bit longer.
To me the length is perfect, it's not RPG and I don't need this game to be 50-100 hour long game.

And thanks to length it much easier to replay…..I'm already replaying this in lunatic difficulty.

Finished the post-game.

RE: Unknown Signal.

Kind of a disappointing epilogue to the game. It couldn't have hurt them to add a 10 second rendered scene to show Hugh showing some signs of life at the ending instead of that 3 second audio bite only.

I don't think I'm going to try and do the Lunatic difficulty, it sucks that they didn't inherit the RE formula and let you carry over NG+ equipment into harder difficulties. It makes the extra challenge a bit more fair for those who want it, for those who don't, they can always start a fresh save on Lunatic.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the game. A solid 8.5/10 for me. Some quirks and QoL issues aside, this was a fantastic new IP.

For folks who enjoy this, I will very very highly recommend checking out Binary Domain as well.

All in All, the base game and epilogue took me around 17~ hours. Pretty good for a single player game.

Pretty sure you can't bring upgraded weapons into Professional in RE4R. You definitely couldn't in the 2005 version.

Sure you can, it just doesn't have to be a NG+. But RE4R lets you bring a crap load of things on a regular NG as well, anything you unlock from the store, the Chicago Sweeper, Handcanon (via Mercenaries) etc.

Not in the OG, yes. They've relaxed a lot of these things since the RE engine games. You can bring unlocked stuff to Professional / Inferno etc.

You kinda do, you there a lot of weapon would be able to print when first get access to shelter including Jackhammer.

I know you can definitely do it in 3R. Im reaching the end of my umpteenth run of RE4R now so Ill see if you're correct. If you are, Pro here I come :messenger_grinning:

Jackhammer sucks tho, lol.

I meant more like let me carry over at least my personal unit / hacking stats etc. I'm not gonna do the entire game 100% with the extra difficulty overhead, it already took me a few tries to beat the enhanced final boss for Unknown Signal. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

It ended up being longer than I expected, for whatever reason I thought it would be fairly short but between backtracking here and there for completion or upgrade materials and so forth I ended up spending quite a bit and then there's also the post game content if you're into that sort of thing including the VR missions.

Beat the 3rd boss. Should I be thankful its not some annoying Souls-like ordeal that I need to take multiple tries. And its just the journey to get there that's the main reward.

Apparently there's some gimmicks to the 2nd and 3rd, but noticed it at the very end when it didn't matter.
All I did was spam some status nets or decoys. and shoot at the big ass target and run around the red circles for a full minute or so.

Yeah overall the game is pretty easy. I might have died five times through the entire thing. That doesn't mean it wasn't fun though because mechanically it feels good to move around and engage with the enemies and there's enough to keep you busy at all times that the difficulty didn't really bother me like it normally would. I think they could have upped the ante quite a bit on their red card gate areas especially since they are specifically set aside to be challenged zones but still pretty cool.

Overall I really like this game. I just finished 100% in all areas and just have additional final stuff to do.

In Lunatic difficulty it's significantly harder not only even simple Walker will hit like truck but they also faster, they no longer slow walk towards you.

This the difficulty which the combat really shines.

Just finished it. What a wonderful game, and probably my current GotY. The final sequence was incredible. Hugh and Diana make a great duo, just very likeable characters.

Yeah I'm not sure I'm up for an immediate replay but definitely will be down to play it on a harder difficulty down the line. I think getting all of the extra content and challenges is going to get me my fill for the moment.

Yea, its still fun, its not like i'm going no-hit/kill everything with no hassle. I do constantly get hit, but I just resource manage and go back to refill my hp canisters and reupgrade back in, so that counts on 'effort' too. finally starting to unlock some mods/stuff to make some pattern of a build, so looking forward to playing around with that.
