So who is going to E3?

What part of town are ya staying at?

GAF Meetup again this year?

Who is hitting up the press conferences?

These questions need answers!!!
 
1) Me!
2) Downtown LA, right next to the LACC.
3) I'll try to, but I imagine I will be very busy this year, much more than previous.
4) Definitely. At least Sony, Microsoft's and Nintendo's. Square Enix's might be too much, and I've been to Konami's the past few years already...

if any of you ladies want to play some round ball (im not talking about videogame version either) or talk about the game of the show (madden 2006) i would be down to do that

Still not sure if I'm going to go. If I go depends on where I can find a place to stay and if I can hitch a ride back to SF. As for GAF meetup, I'd love to attend. And definitely wont' be at the press conferences.
 
I'm going, staying at the Wilshire, and attending the three press cons. Dunno about GAF meetup yet.
 
I'll be staying @ the Ritz Milner near the LACC. Definitely down for some type of meet-up, preferably one involving alcohol. (Beware MS' party is Monday night...so not then).
 
Hmm... I'm probably going... and if I do, I'll be staying in Anaheim again. The drive is a bit annoying, but rooms are much more abundant.

Me and JustinS are gonna be just a mile from the convention center. We didn't meet up last year, but I guess we could this time. Don't have a press pass though.

If I did, I'd like to make it to at least the Nintendo conference, but I don't think I will.

Used to stay at this rat motel down the street from LACC, but not it's closed (it was by the Figeroa (sp?)). Staying at one of the E3 hotels, but I don't have the info handy at the moment.

If I have time. Usually booked solid with meetings.

Hitting all the big ones. Skipping the Ngage one becuase that's usually just a waste of time.

me and two of my ubisoft buddies are in a Ramada Inn in Hollywood, near the Universal studios.

Hollywood. 3.45 miles away from the convention center.

None, unfortunetly. We'll be in LA on Tuesday.

Who is hitting up the press conferences?
Microsoft and Nintendo. Does anyone know how one would go about signing up for Sony's? I heard it's on the 16th at around 3 in the afternoon. Do they have a press website for this or must you email someone specifically? PM me if you have any info, please. Thanks.

I'm already with a big group/team, no GAF for me.

Nintendo and maybe Microsoft? I don't know at this time. Sony is a "no", because it's very difficult for Europeans to get to the Sony press conference.

edit: Starscream, that was the InnTowne - we used to stay there too, but they closed for rennovations and never reopened. lol

I want to meet up with people to play MG:Ac!d multiplayer. I love this game! I have no one to play with and Im dying to check out how it works as I just unlocked it. I suck, so if you want a sure win, play me!!

I'm not going to E3, but since I live in So Cal, I might be interested in grabbing a drink with some of y'all in the evening...if and only if I happen to be in town that week.

If I wasn't such a scrub at games, I might even bring the ol' PSP along for some Wi-Fi action as well...but I'm an embarrassingly casual gamer. :(

I should be there. Look forward to the GAF meet-up.. was cool to put some names to faces last year. I think I'll be at the MS one, Nintendo is a definite, Sony is doubtful.

The swag is overrated, really. You get a bunch of crap that'll be collecting dust in your closet, and some t-shirts that will most likely be two sizes too large that you wouldn't want to be caught wearing outside the house anyway.
 
Anyone want to get me in? If you know who I am, maybe you'd be willing, but if you don't, well then don't bother. Just wondering. If you need more info, feel free to PM me.
 
A friend of mine is going, so he'll be emailing me vids and pics of the whole event.

I would love to be at the Sony conference, not because of the boring slideshow/powerpoint presentation but because I want to be there to see the behemoth that is the PlayStation 3.

I just may be going.

I'll be staying home in San Fernando. About 30 minutes away without traffic.

And I dont know about the rest much yet.
 
Forget the free swag, can anyone hook up us GAFers with passes to Nintendo's, Sony's, or Microsoft's E3 parties? (Just had to ask =)

The big 3's corporate parties are truly the big events of E3, bigger than the conferences or the show floor.
 
Ok, question for all the other media-types out there...

I've just gotten my media clearance taken care of -- any suggestions/advice on contacting companies and press departments so as to get invited to little things like press conferences and functions? I was going to contact the advertising agencies and press contacts, but I thought I'd see if any of you fine fellows had some advice.

(Media = radio broadcasting)
 
I'm in again, I'll be staying with Link like the last two years. I'll be up for a GAF meetup for some period (or have folks invade our hotel room like always). Better not take up my time running around the floor and meeting people! Getting to talk to famous Japanese game producers in Japanese on the show floor rocks.
 
Yeah, there's nothing like cramming 20+ people in a low budget hotel room. Good times.
