It's not as godly as people make out, but I'm not gonna argue.

What makes it good is that it takes itself seriously and is not afraid to follow through. No goofiness, no teamup hand-holding garbage (AvP). No anti-hero the suits nowadays think is necessary.

Have you heard about the script for the upcoming 2018 Predator? Some kid who wants some candy learns the predator language and they become BFF's.

That's only 3 actual Predator films in 30 years which by today's standards is ridiculously low for such an iconic character.

I have a lot of faith in Shane Black's version coming out next year.
