I think the question you should be asking is "who is the Scorpio's target consumer"
The Pro illustrated a decent subgroup of people looking for a little more horsepower for their 4K TV or, even more niche, their PSVR. That is talking into account the large playerbase the PS4 currently has thanks to strong launch and now extremely strong exclusive software. The Pro was never meant to be the "next big thing" or the "new Playstation" and even Andy House blatantly said it was basically just to keep enthusiasts from jumping to PC after the halfway point in the gen. There wasn't anything riding on PS4 Pro, it was basically locking down enthusiasts.
Scorpio has a much different set of circumstances to contend with. Xbox won't have any true exclusives going forward, and on top of that the first party situation is pretty dire presently. It doesn't have the huge install base, so if say the same % of people who upgraded from the PS4 to Pro upgraded from XB1 to Scorpio, it will still be much less. And MS still has to convince people the graphics upgrade is massive enough for the price tag, while also dealing with people that already have decent PCs having no reason whatsoever to buy a Scorpio (while at the same time reassuring people that the XB1S they just bought last year won't be worthless in 12 months)
It's a tough road ahead for MS, but I think they have a good shot to at least turn around brand perception, even though they won't close the hardware gap this gen.

We must be playing different games then. The use of color, HDR if your gpu and panel support it are awesome. 4K textures look great. Game has some decent facial animations and effects as well.
Did you play the campaign section with the electrical storms?

Such a weird sentiment. Are you talking about the original Gears of War? Not sure how it's applicable. Horizon is made for the PS4 and also runs on the Pro. Why would MS need a game that needs the unique hardware of Scorpio? Why not a game that runs on the XBox One like FH3, that runs 4K on the Scorpio? 4K Forza will look great, it already does on PC.
Hmm this makes me almost think that we'll actually see hardware? Maybe a dev kit?

Has anyone even said it will be shown? People just took two different statements, one being about the specs, the other being about Forza looking good, and melded them in their brain.

No one has said it will be shown but it will just be weird for people who don't know this is happening to just see forza 7 name dropped without an offical reveal. But i guess people would be expecting a forza 7 and it isn't too important in terms of reveals

The worst part is knowing at any moment between now and then stuff could leak so I feel like I need to be glued to this thread.
On one hand it sucks. On the other hand, I mean, this kind of stuff is what most of us live for lol.
I hope they got more to show off than Forza 7.
Shinobi not seeing a lot of new stuff makes me fear that they aren't going to come out swinging with this event.
They got to really nail this presentation with new, fresh games.

I think they'll announce some future games, even though Phil has to be mindful of announcing too soon. They simply have to.
I don't expect many surprises for release this year though.

It's not an event, and why would Shinobi know all about their first party titles? I don't think anyone has leaked first party titles beyond 2017.

That's true, but I would assume Shinobi's tweet means overall. Of course E3 will show games. But I think Shin is still saying that overall they are still going to have that problem. At least in the near future.

He could know just as much as us, though, or have sources that aren't in the loop when it comes to first party partnerships. I'm gonna wait until E3 to freak out.
Doubtful. Sony has marketing rights for that.
