Looks like a great month.

They really ought to rebrand the service as I suspect a lot of people see it as a pure streaming option, when it really isn't that at all anymore.

All good games, but (I'm guessing) that Nioh 2 doesn't have the ability for me to play it with the PS5 improvements, right?

Is judgement the PS5 version? If so I might activate a free trial to try it out.

Nioh 2 being available is interesting as well, if humble choice have their arses in gear then I expect it to appear there as well at some point before the end of this year.

Interesting to see that Red Dead Redemption II is only available as a download. As far as I know, this is the first time they've offered a game on PS Now that is not available for streaming.

Also, Team Sonic Racing was already added to the service last month.

Assuming this list is correct, all of these games in one month only for a subscription service that frequently costs 40 bucks a year and yet somehow people still complain about this service.

I have GP and yes that one's better overall if bought through conversion of XBL Gold, however, unlike what the fanboys on the internet try to perpetuate, PSNow is far from being a bad service by any means, in fact, it's an absolute steal for $40 a year.

If only we had PS Now in Australia, it makes no sense for us not to have it, we are a major 1st world country that literally gets everything else. It's very strange.

I think it does, because Koei update the PS4 versions on the Ps5 for free, there's only one version of it, so if you download the game it will have all the improvements on the ps5... However, the streaming version won't, since it will stream from a ps4 (probably).

They need to fix it first. I wasn't able to download Avengers, it was only streaming so I couldn't play it.

That should be a guaranteed game on the service. Sony has no idea how to boost their service…or just don't care…
According to Sony, they can't give that kind of games away because they're premium and streaming is cheap. What they need to do, according to them, is to raise the price of games to $70.

Hell, I don't even know why they have this service if it's not a viable business. Seems like an afterthought just to check the streaming option off the list.

I have to admit this is a pretty good list, probably the best PSNow had for a given month.

Also tells us more or less when Judgment will be available on GP.

If that rumor turns out to be true then damn, PS Now gets a lot of value and proves that PlayStation doesn't need to release their first party games on launch day on the service to compete with Gamepass.

People (quite rightly) talk about the value of Gamepass, but I honestly think PS Now may be better value for some people.

It may lack day 1 first party releases, but for more casual gamers that are less concerned with that, it offers tremendous value and generally there are quite a lot of decent games on there to dabble with.

Part of the problem with PS Now is the mixed messaging and communication around it. A lot of more casual people that it would be suitable for aren't aware of it. Whereas I think Microsoft has done a great job of effectively 'buying' mindshare of the more hardcore gamers and press by offering the day 1 experiences (mostly indie games at the moment) that they are more likely to talk about from direct experience, because it is a service that they directly benefit from. Sony need to do more to raise awareness of PS Now, but part of me thinks that they are holding off and working of a slightly different model of their services before they make a more concerted effort in this space.

How did Avengers work when you downloaded it?

Here's an image that is supposedly from someone using PlayStation Now on a PS5 in Italy:

It looks like Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and NASCAR Heat 5 are also new additions to the service, which were not mentioned earlier.

There's another big problem with PS Now - the saves. Sony really should allow everyone to have cloud saving for free like Xbox. It's seamless how I can flip between games on Xbox, PC and XCloud and my save is always ready. If I stream a game on PS Now and then decide to continue with the download on PS4, I have to fork out for PS+ to use my save. Sony really just aren't consumer friendly at all.

You're right, in that Sony should improve this. If they don't want to offer full cloud saving for all games for free, then at least enable the PS Now cloud saves (which are stored separately from the PS Plus cloud saves) to be transferred to and from the hard drive on the PS4/PS5 system.

Sony really just aren't consumer friendly at all.

PS Plus and PS Now are each $49.99 $59.99 a year. That is roughly half of what Xbox Game Pass (not Ultimate) costs for a year by itself without online play or cloud streaming to a PC.

Both companies have different areas where they need to improve.

Edit: Corrected the price of the PS Plus and PS Now services.

The games collection is not the problem here. The service is just shit without a decent connection.
