PS+ : October Edition Thread | EU : Bulletstorm, RE 5, Hell Yeah | US : NFL Blitz

If we don't get wither of those games as well, there should be a fu(kin' riot started n the US playstation blog because that is just utter trash that US PS+ members just keep getting $hit on constantly by Sony Euro...

It is because Europe has everything free like healthcare and people in US don't want free healthcare.

Sony did their homework.

From EU Blog -

Please stop giving us retail games, it just punishes the PS+ members who support Sony most by buying lots of games.
I already own RE5 and Bulletstorm, so they worthless to me as part of PS+.
More PSN games please.
When I started my Plus sub it was all PSN content we were getting and rarely something from retail, now I’m just getting retail games I already own.
This sucks.

Well he is getting Hell Yeah so dunno why he is complaining

Anyways EU games have been shooter for a while, would like some RPG for a change.

As long as you 'purchase' a free game when it's available (i.e. go through the store so it ends up on your download list), you can play it at any time after it's removed as long as you have an active PS+ subscription when you do.

Right, I meant I wanted to get the 3 month sub, play and beat all the games I wanted to, and then be done with it. But now those games I want seem to be getting removed (unless I'm reading the OP wrong).

Alex Kidd in Miracle World — 80% discount for PlayStation Plus Members (Regular Price: $4.99, PS Plus Price: $1.00)

Definitely worth it at this price. Great game IMO.

I have a question regarding PSN+.

If I understand correctly, you get "free" games every month. These "expire" after the month. However, you can still use them as long one is subscribed to the service, correct?

Now, what happens if were to have a lapse/"hole" in my PSN+ subscription. After I return, will I again have access to all the PSN+ goodies I had before, or will I have to lose them?

As long as you download it before it's removed, you have access as long as you are a plus subscriber. If you cancel your subscription and come back later, you'll regain access to your past downloads.

Yes you can play them

I seriously want to know the reason why we aren't getting the same content that Europe is. If it's going to be like this from now on, then so be it. I won't subscribe anymore. But just give us some fucking answers already.

lol I could get used to this EU superiority Sony has going on. Everyone already knew SCEE is best SCE. I mean LBP, Motorstorm, Killzone, fucking Wipeout all from here. SCEE has been knocking it out the park for years. Catch up America.

I don't understand why we get no preloading while EU does. Why is stuff so divided?

Two different companies with no coordination whatsoever. We all have the same hardware, but get services and content from entirely different providers.

I don't even understand why Sony is doing it this way. If they had a global office managing this stuff, they'd probably save loads of money just by eliminating redundancy. Do SCEE and SCEA really need separate certifications?

EU pays more, it should get more. Around 39€ in US vs. 50€ in EU.

So it's fair. :-)

I have 3 different PS+ accs (US+UK+Germany) and I'm happy with every one of them and the content I get. :-D

From what I can tell, preloading is just a clever use of the DRM wrappers applied to items in the store. This wasn't some new capability sent out from Tokyo, it was a trick invented by the SCEE people. SCEA haven't figured it out yet.

What exactly are people complaining about? The US will get more games next week, right? So basically this is NFL Blitz vs. Hell Yeah. Can't say which one I'd prefer.

You have to be FUCKING kidding me.
If I let my NA membership lapse and get a EU one do I loose my NA games?
and again you have to be fucking kidding me fuck you SCEA!!!

I hope they don't listen to this. A mix of both is the best. Last month only had RDR for the retail games.

You lose your NA games until you re-up the NA sub. You'll lose your EU games in a year though too if you don't re-up it in a year. If you get a EU sub soon they have a few of the US games (Just Cause, Borderlands, Tomb Rader) still up. I know DLC doesn't work but I think saves do. Though I could be wrong.
