I guess they think porn falls under gaming because you play with your joystick while watching it... people who suspect info about the new update are in for a surprise :lol
 
Pornography is a sketchy topic to try and "judge" because there are so many variables...

I have no doubt some women/men enjoy the work. I have no doubt some enjoy the money and just do what needs doing to obtain it. And I've read too many stories of people who've been snatched up in the industry's predatory machinery and exploited... those people are victims.

To over generalize and call all porn starts sluts and whores is just ignorant and callous.

Porn stars deserve no respect because they reinforce the chauvinist notion that women are merely sexual objects to be used and discarded. The damage that they do to the public women of women is irreparable.

Demand? Men?

The consumers are not free of culpability, and so porn stars shouldn't shoulder all the blame. If it is disgusting and shameful, it is so for all involved.

It was said in a sarcastic, joking manor to depict irony on the situation. In no way was it meant to be offensive, nor do I feel so subjective as some of the posters. In fact, it was totally out of character for me to use the term, though I didn't see a two page mindless debate brewing either. If you have any problems, simply private message me. :)

Now that im done crying, here's what i think... Either it was an amazingly planned fake with her account being "hacked" brilliantly at a great time, or she decided to prove herself innocent cause she was under NDA and she unintentionally broke it (considering everyone who is a part of Gamer's Day or anything is under NDA till 17th).

We'll know which one is true after 17th (even though my heart says that she is lying cause she leaked something big and is trying to cover it up).
 
I am now fully aware of the circumstances pertaining to something the was posted by my account (Leah). Fact is, I have been in the dark about what's been going on until today and it has had me worried.

Maybe I'm a bit naive, but something should have clicked when I had trouble logging on this afternoon. I never had the oppertunity to post such information, as I wasn't anywhere near my computer to do such a thing (Mother's Day).

To put an end to the now titled "Conspiracy", I would like to state that I'm souly and completely sorry for whatever this may have caused. As a side note, PLEASE don't ever take something posted (whether by me, or anyone) as fact unless it is provided by the creator's of such software/hardware (SCE).

Once again I'm sorry for the misunderstandings, and taking precautions so it will never happen again.

What IS going on here? If nothing is shown at Gamer's Day, this is getting big enough to where it may just warrant an official statement, one more than "speculation."

Call me blinded, but I still feel it's coming. Like Jim alluded to, some of the updates are much too mundane to come up with. Hopefully we'll know within the next few days.

TBH I was a little bit wary of the 2.0 update. Its not very Sony-like to go from 1.7 to 2.0. We are likely to go over 1.71--1.8- and so on.

Considering, she posted alot of times after the news broke, she is not as naive as she present herself (check her post history). She even mentions 2.00 in a post dated May 11 where she talks about custom music via 2.00

Sounds like an NDA cover-up. If the NDA isn't up until the 17th, that means no update this Wednesday, which would be 4 weeks after the previous :( Hope it comes soon..
 
I say we take bets on if it's fake or not. The losing side has to refrain from downloading the next update for a week when it comes out. :lol

He has to give his PSN ID and if anyone sees him online then you know he did download the update (cos u cannot log in if you dont, and there is no "show as offline" option I think).

Seriously, is the lack of 720p support like a business political thing I'm not understanding in the Blu-ray world?

It's such a glaring omission.

Isn't it freakin' more demanding to the PS3 that it is downscaling to 480p from a 1080p source than to 720p?! So what's the deal?!!

This doesn't mean the 2.0 will add that, of course. Just saying.
 
What do Sony have to lose if it's true and gets out early? I can understand denying a price drop but why deny something like this if it is indeed true.

This semi-confirmed update seems nice, though what I am most looking forward to is still enhanced graphics on PS2/PS1 games (some option to choose between normal emulation via built-in GS/EE or software emulation with options for enhancement for the 1st gen. systems would be amazing).
