EDIT: Wow the plane thing looks nice, Sony could make a big deal out of this with appropriate advertising.

It has a table game (maraqa something something).CartridgeBlower said:So what's the Far Cry gamespace like? I'm excited since I have it for PS3, but I don't know anything about it. Does it unlock a trophy, new game content, or is it just wallpapers and such?
gofreak said:FYI, the message of the day suggests open beta will be available from around 4am PT tomorrow. They say there'll be downtime between 2am and 4am "so you won't be able to log into Open Beta until after that time".

Well Gamespaces are like games. There are great ones and there are not so great ones.CartridgeBlower said:So would you guys consider it (Far Cry gamespace) useful/helpful in anyway? Or is it the kind of thing that when you've seen it once, you never care to see it again. That would be a shame.

Nafai1123 said:Damn, that Redbull plane game actually looks good. I really hope they are able to implement some cool game/home functionality. I want my GT5 cars in my Home garage!
SolidSnakex said:They have to make them useful by putting games in it that makes you want to come back to it.
gofreak said:Spaces are like websites. A game space like this is like a promo site for a game.
I think what Sony needs to do is really tie the individual games to home if they want to make it popular. They could potentially have optional trophies, quests, or tasks from the game that extend into home if they make it deep enough. Actually, giving Home its own separate list of trophies to start off with would be a great way to get people to explore it.SolidSnakex said:They have to make them useful by putting games in it that makes you want to come back to it. The Motorstorm Home space apparently has some kart racing game in it.

Uncharted one could last you hours as there is the mystery surrounding the three closed doors and how to attain codes to open them..etc. It's really good looking as well (I believe it's the house you see in the background during the Uncharted intro, when Sully & Nathan leave Elena).
SolidSnakex said:Which is why devs should consider putting Home spaces up before the games are released. So they could update them with new material as it becomes available. Do things like debuting new footage in Home or taking fan questions through that Home space.
Finally, the PS3's featureset is complete. Everything they promised and more is now on the PS3..

I'm in Norway now actually (for good) but yeah, you will get it. It's a 'worldwide' release and Australia is definitely among those considered.2 Minutes Turkish said:Wollan, you're in Australia like me, are we getting this today? Or tomorrow?

this isn't even the release and launch of home..it is still in beta and there will be tons of promised features not available.

It's been tossed around a lot. Just a rumor. I'm not sure if Sony ever commented on it. I think it's a missed opportunity if they don't though. Home is setup so that the publishers can use the SDK and basically create and distribute whatever they want, I think that's 100% certain.elohel said:I probably missed this somewhere but where was it mentioned that trophies could be used as currency to purchase in game items? Was it in the home announcement and I missed it or was it mentioned by Sony previously or?
Sry out of the loop just a scoach lol

Technically just playing games would eventually fetch you some kind of reward, it's not like you'd have to go out of your way. The other option would probably be real world money, but I'd think those items would remain separate from the free rewards items anyway -- just to avoid giving any kind of monetary value to trophies.radioheadrule83 said:Seldom can I be arsed with trophies. If they are a 'currency' I hope there's other forms of currency.

The whole trophies = currency thing was a rumour that probably isn't true anyway.
Unlockable items shouldn't all be purchaseable, however, IMO. Certain stuff should only be attainable if you've achieved various things in games.
