Surprised there was LBP2 content ready in time for the game's release. Hopefully they keep it up. Wasn't the LBP1 space like 2 years late? It's a great space, one of the best ones in my opinion, but come on.

Killzone 3's PSHome

]But that could change – at least for short periods of time – with the promotional strategy Sony's calling Total Game Integration. It's rolling out January 27, 2010 and will be availble through February 17 for Killzone 3, but I was told that it's something we can expect to see with future titles as well.

Total Game Integration is really just a set of buzz words, but here's what it means for you. PlayStation Home will be altered for upcoming Sony games, and with Killzone 3 it's pretty dramatic. The PlayStation Home Plaza has been completely redone, keeping its standard functionality but aesthetically looking like a battlefield from Killzone. The buildings are crumbling, Helghast drop ships fly overhead, and various Killzone imagery is everywhere. It's advertising, sure, but it's advertising done in a really clever way to an audience that might not otherwise care or hear about Killzone 3.

A fresh layer of paint alone isn't enough to get me to stick around in Home for more than a minute, but the way they're attempting to engage hardcore players might. With the Killzone 3 promotion, players will be able to venture into a new zone in the Central Plaza where they'll be able to play a free mini-game called Killzone Defender. It's a really simple shooter where you stand still and use the analog stick to aim at the Helghast who pop up.

Killzone Defender is more a charming gimmick than engaging game, but the reason I could see the more hardcore among us jumping into Home to try it is for the benefits. Complete all the challenges in Killzone Defender and you'll get three multiplayer unlock points to use when Killzone 3 comes out (they buy abilities or weapons). You can only do it once, though, so don't think you're going to game the system. Additionally, if you want to pre-order Killzone 3, you can do so straight from Home. This sets you not only the extra three multiplayer points that Amazon offers promotionally but also an exclusive PlayStation Home Helghast avatar outfit.

Beginning on Thursday, January 27th the American Central Plaza will be transformed into the last remaining ISA stronghold when Killzone 3 Invades PlayStation Home. Join the remaining members of the ISA as they defend Home against the relentless Helghast assault. European combatants can join the battle by visiting the ISA dropship in Home Square to be transported to the Central Plaza.

The Central Plaza Defender is a first-person shooter that pits you against wave after wave of Helghast forces. Fire at the approaching enemy forces to shoot down Helghast air units, infantry units, and dropships. Alternatively, assist gunners by collecting and delivering ammunition and first aid. Complete challenges to be granted exclusive PlayStation Home rewards. Nevermind. Hip fire and hope for the best. No health loss, just aim from the hip and hope your aiming is okay with the shitty aim speed they give you. Don't zoom.

I think the killzone game is the first time I've genuinely have had fun 100% in home without having to try too hard. The unlock system and incentives this is all tied to are the best i've seen yet in Home.

I ordered through home as well for amazon (was going to do regular amazon anyway since I had credit), but I guess I gotta wait for the code for the costume.

Run around the plaza and there are crates with blue or red smoke on the them. Pick them up, then deliver them to the gate within 60 seconds and they will help someone currently playing. When that person beats the level you get assist credit for that level.

I cant do level 3 perfect score for the life of me.

so pissed off. I've got this "Network Error Z(9, -2)" for a really long time now, deleting game data won't help and nothing I do fixes it. Can't connect at all. I'd like to get the Killzone 3 unlocks before they pull the space down.

Back up your user save, delete the home data, delete the home user files in your account (this is why you backed them up), delete the XMB presence install data. Reinstall (XMB icon won't leave), reupdate. See if that fixes it. If it doesn't, I dunno.

That's still a shitty compromise for what was a good thing by Pasufarin. He'd go online, see what was free and update the OP weekly with the latest stuff. Good at a glance for those of us that don't give two shits about pay-for items. :|

I might have sort of gotten angry and deleted my save data... did I lose everything?

Sorry if this has been covered already, but I just booted up Home after probably at least six months or more of not going into it, and all of my non-default items are gone. I had a few pieces of clothing I had bought that are gone. I had collected apartment items like a TV, the Namco arcade game cabinets, the stuff from the Irem Japanese summer festival, and some other things, and they're all gone. The only non-default item I still have is a kimono, and that's because my character was still wearing it.

Checked my wardrobe, my clothes aren't there. I checked the new "storage" area, they aren't there. Can't figure out how to place items in my apartment at this point (seems the interface has been totally revised), so I don't know where to check if I still have my stuff. I checked the "My Purchases" part of the interface, and the only thing it lists are three random items I had gotten for free from something.

Is there some kind of update that happened in the past few months that would have caused this? Anybody have any idea what the problem might be? Not that I spent much in Home, but if all of the stuff I had, free and paid, is gone, that's pretty much the point at which I delete this thing from my hard drive and never, ever touch it again.

I only got an 85% and got the challenge complete. Just go for the ones that are shooting with you (aka, the closing circle), and make sure you aim good at those. You should be good.

If it's a bigger problem (like in this case) just tell your customers what the problem is OR AT LEAST THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF IT. I ended up deleting everything hoping that it would fix it but it wasn't until recently that I found out that a lot more people are getting the same error z(9,-2) and there's no fix.

Yes, this is being looked at as a matter of priority but I don’t have a date for a definitive fix. Apologies.

Anyway, it looks like the SCEE overlords fixed Home and I finally got in to check all the new stuff like the Killzone plaza defender. It wasn't half bad despite the twitchy aiming.
