Take your credit card monthly bill and make sure to enter the information into PSN exactly character for character like it's printed on it. Like literally exact, it's all case sensitive even. I had the same problem you did, and for me, what solved it was that I need to enter my billing address all in uppercase.

It's the only explanation I could ever muster for why the battery life on Move controller is so short as well.

It's not the same kind of LED. The one used on DS3 has next to no power usage. The one in DS3 is probably some kind of light strip with multiple, stronger LEDs, or at least a single stronger one. Still, I don't know, LEDs in general have really low power requirements for their light output, and this one's not *that* strong.

-So, is there no way to customize the background or my dash at all? Or to organize my apps and library of games in any other way but have them lined up in a row?

- Also, I thought I noticed a drop down menu with stats and stuff for Killzone while in the dash the first time I popped the game in and had it selected on screen. Now when ever I'm in the dash and have the game selected, I just get a 'start' option with no extra stuff below. Is it just a 'PSN getting hammered' thing why it's not coming up again or what?

Does the Live Area screen for games not work for anyone else?

It only worked briefly for me on Friday and now it won't load at all. Ditto for what's new.

Everything else seems OK though.

Other than the badly placed Share/Options buttons, this controller is freaking awesome. Really impressed. I thought XB1 would be my preferred controller next-gen, but I haven't held it yet -- and I won't until I pick up the system Friday. But damn, DS4 is going to be hard to beat. Widening the sticks makes it feel better in my hands. Why I always preferred 360's asymmetrical layout -- keeps my thumbs apart. And the sticks have just enough resistance without being too stiff to mess with accuracy. DS3's were loose, convex garbage.

I know i've posted a few times about sub accounts in here, but man this is frustrating.

Reasons why we need sub accounts that can be converted to master accounts:

  • Many people who were under 18 at the time of creating their account are now 18+
  • If you must create a new account you lose your trophies
  • Have to re-add all of your friends if making new account
  • Can't share screenshots or video
  • Can't livestream
  • Must add funds through master account

I don't know what it is about this system but I never had a feeling like this owning my PS3 or 360. I think the controller is a huge part of that too. So gooooood.

This is probably a really dumb question but forgive me, I just got my PS4 today :)

So I'm downloading the update to NBA 2k14, is PSN slow for anyone else?

Can you do stuff while updates are downloading?

Can anybody tell me how to turn off the psn plus auto renewal? I looked it up online but can't find the account settings option in settings. Do I do it through the website or my ps4?

Ok, I'm getting really upset now. Twice I've hit Share after a few minutes of racing in Rivals, but the latest clip stops long before the segment I want. And when I back out and hit Share again, it's started a new clip from when I exited out of Share last time. It means I have gaps of lost gameplay recordings.

I'm really depressed since done awesome shit happened in a few recess and I wanted to save them. Guess they're just gone forever.

What the Fuck, PS4?

That wobble that was talked about is a non issue. I had to press down pretty firmly to get it to wobble and its a very small distance.

My ps4 makes a odd sound when first starting up, i think its the hdd, bluray or fan. Not sure which i can listen enough bc the set top box next to it has a dying hdd and squeaks at a high pitch. Not usre if its a potential issue or not its only on start up though.

On the Vita it's in the PSN Store App under services, I assume it's the same for PS4.

Welp, ran into my first major issue. Hoping it's only a PSN issue.

Went into the store and it seemed to be up and running very well for me. So I redeemed my $10 promotional code and purchased Flower. The purchase went through just fine, however it never downloaded. Anytime I go into place to download it from the PS Store, the store immediately boots me to the home screen. Same when I go to My Library from the menu, Flower is there with a little indicator to download. I select it and it briefly loads the store page before booting me back to the main menu.

I tried restarting the console and then logging out/logging back in to PSN, and nothing. Anyone run into anything similar? Anyway to fix it?

Can you charge the DS4 via USB by plugging it into the wall with a mains adapter? I just tried it but there's no indication from the lightbar or anything that it's charging.

everything is going smooth for me atm. Accessing store, playing DCUO and Warframe, its going smoothly. I think they have the "what's new" and info tabs under each game disabled right now though.

Yeah its the in settings. Check out the facebook menu on ps4.

Quick and easy fix might be to use the webstore to start the download to your ps4 (make sure your ps4 is activated as your primary ps4)

Thats just the bluray spinning up. It's much higher speed than the PS3 so it makes some noise.

The same thing is happening for me with the Trine 2 demo from the SEN website. I can see it in my Library, but trying to start the download just dumps me back to the home screen. Pretty sure it's just another symptom of PSN being a mess right now.

Serious question: how do you know whether or not you have a subaccount or masteraccount?

EDIT Figured it out. Master account. Used a fake birthday many years ago... if only I could remember which birthday I used.

Uh, a buddy of mine said that there aren't notifications for when your friends get online. Is this true or is he a moron? That sounds too unbelievable to be true.

Twitch usually will if you allow it to, I think it's set to by default. You may need to do some extra setup stuff to migrate your account from Justin.tv to Twitch.tv, but I'm not really certain. In the worst case scenario it's possible you might just have to make a new account through Twitch.
