Thanks for the replies. Trying the download from the webstore now, and good to hear it's probably only a PSN issue. I figure by next weekend the issues should be ironed out.

I think psn problem have something to do with that. On ps3 it does that.

Did PS+ games always have expiration dates & times listed on PS3? Noticed on PS4 that your PS+ expiration date and time is listed when you hit Options button on any PS+ game. Much easier than drilling down in menus.

I'm thinking they did that on purpose. If you had 2000 friends on your list, you'd constantly be seeing people singing on and off.
On your PS4 it's under Settings>PSN> Account Info>Service List. Select PS+ and there's a big button to disable auto renewal at the bottom.

You're not. You can only replace the drive, not add an extra external.

Notification when a friend comes online makes sense, it's the PSN notification for when a friend goes offline that always seemed stupid and irritating to me.
Very few people will have that many and just let those people turn it off.
Can you still do a system backup to an external drive, like you can with the PS3?

I doubt they expect everyone to have 2,000 friends. I really think it's just temporary or PSN related.
I thought it was, but apparently it was a mistake by the PR, which really pisses me off.
The announcement they initially made even recognized that Sony was aware many are now over 18 and stuck with sub accounts.
Wish we could get some kind of petition going for this at least for PS4 users.
Will have to check it out.

Coming from 360 and I have a couple of questions. I like to know when friends come online. Tell me there is an option to be notified of this? At the same time I liked to hide offline from time to time but I'm not seeing an option.

Sounds like Warframe alright.
That's how it's like on the PC, the game tried to do something different for it's style right down to the user interface. It works well, just takes getting used to (my experience with the PC version).

I hate notifications. I just do. I don't like things popping up on my screen that's not related to the game I'm playing.
I usually turn off all notifications. I haven't messed around with my PS4 settings yet, but when I finally get the time to sit down and mess with the system, all that shit is going off. Unless I'm going to play with my friends in a game, I don't really care what they're doing, or when they sign on, or when the last time they signed on was, I'm not that stalkerish/OCD.
Chances are, if we're going to play a game together, it's because we've scheduled a time to do so. I don't have much time for at home gaming these days, so I mostly stick to single player stuff anyway.
I've enjoyed my PS4 thus far but after a few days, it's really apparent how anemic the launch lineup is but hey, that's pretty much par for the course. I know there are people out there who couldn't be happier but I'm personally finding nothing particularly noteworthy. I always knew this purchase was going to be an investment though. I hope 2014 really delivers some awesome experiences.

Is there a way to make audio that comes out of the controller go through your primary speakers instead? For example the audio diaries you find in KZ
Good feature but when playing Killzone late at night, it could be a problem for people living in my house I am a considerate person!
I tried turning the volume on it OFF in PS4 system and it mutes it, doesn't route it through the headphones. Can't find a setting inside KZ itself unless i am missing it.

Go under PSN and there's an option for Application Integration or something of the like. You can make the changes there.

It only say something like "You received a message"
On PS3 it had a popup that showed the message title(about a sentence long) and who it was from.

Although, I do think wanting to know when people were last online, what they've been playing, etc, is a bit much, but maybe I'm just an old fogie. I personally don't care about being alerted to when that stuff happens, because I usually see who's online when I boot up the system and look at the friend tab in the XMB.
And again, if I was going to play with friends, it'd have already been set up by us before hand, because of our limited time and schedule. I hardly play online because of that, as it's hard to sync up schedules, and I'm not a big fan of playing with strangers. To be completely honest, I'm a 98% single player gamer, with an occasional match or two in an online game that may appeal to me.
I haven't played hardcore online since Warhawk and Killzone 2.
I think it's part that and part the fact that it's a brand new OS and there's only so much you can do on the first version. There was much more important stuff to do first. They can always easily add back new features as they go.
And for the 2000 friends problem, they could make a filter on the notification to only show your "Real Name" friends".

That's happened to me with every download (I've had to download everything on the iPhone app, since the store has been under "maintenance" for days). Just log out of the system and log back in. Should work just fine.

Yes,yes it is. It almost becomes like a popout book and it's amazing. A lot of games have sort of have one layer of depth but this game feel like it has multiple.
